Remarks
I applied to NIT Andhra Pradesh, NIT Warangal, and few Other NIts But As my rank is very high(25,000), I got IIIT-SRICITY. I got my Admission in the general quota. As per the cutoffs for the general category maximum cutoff rank extends up to 35k in special rounds in Josaa. As my rank par above I got pretty easy in the first round.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is adopted and inspired by IIT Hyderabad. The curriculum doesn't rehash the class 12 concepts but focuses on engineering concepts. I picked CSE because of the scope of opportunities it gives to students. As we are the pandemic batch and going through online classes in my opinion faculty to student ratio is 1:20. All faculty have a bunch of PhDs in prestigious universities in foreign or India. Due to Pandemic, we have less time for first-year and exams felt quick but the second year is fine.
Internships Opportunities
As I'm a second-year student, I'm not so much about internships provided by the college. But we can do internships on our interest it's up to our choice. We can get internships opportunities on online websites like Internshala, Geeks for Geeks, etc.
Placement Experience
From the 7th Semester, students are eligible for campus interviews. Companies like Paypal, Cisco, Amazon, Infosys, Tcs, etc visited the campus in 2019. The Highest package from the last three years is 21 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is somewhat high because being a not-so-big Campus with fewer infrastructure facilities compared with similar fee structure colleges. Students who are eligible can apply for national scholarships or students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana who are eligible for JVD scholarships can get their full fee credited in their accounts after a specified time. Students can also apply for educational loans. The packages are also pretty good the highest package is 21L last year.
Campus Life
As I got admission in amid pandemic, I not experienced any campus Life. By Seniors I came to know that we had a compact library. 24 hr wifi on the campus. We had technical clubs like IOTA, Gradient, E-cell, Google Developer Club, etc, and nontechnical clubs like photography, nature clubs, etc. We have a mini cricket ground, basketball court, etc.
