My college is one of the most renowned College, it has a good placement record and has position in among top NITs with overall 4th rank as in 2017. It is visited by top companies in both core and non core sector and has excellent placements in IT industry.

I opted for Mechanical Engineering coz i was deeply interested in it. See, most of the professors are not bothered about your studies, you may feel at times that you can teach better then them, however this is the case with most engineering colleges (even Gov. Colleges). They are mostly focused on theory with very less concentration on practical aspects. You got to be very serious regarding exams. It is not much difficult to pass, but its difficult to score good (above 90%)

Internships follow the same trend as in Placements, with a boom in IT sector and less opportunities in core sector

The placement in IT sector is excellent and the average pkg offered for IT field is 10-12 lpa and maximum package above 50lpa (given by Accenture).Many IT giants give package in thr range 20-35 lpa . The core sector however is not so good. Its better than most of the colleges I'll say, but still the placements in core is difficult, not just in my college, but most of the colleges.

The fees is less as compared to private colleges. You can apply for various scholarships like UP scholarship if you belong to UP or NSP which is a national level scholarship or various state scholarships. The college itself provides scholarship for good students (>9 CGPA) however, the amount is very less and you must opt for other scholarship instead of this.

To be very honest, you wont find a very good infrastructure, except for Dean Academics and SVBH. A new hostel is under construction which will become the tallest building of the city once completed. Cultural and Technical Fests occur separately once a year by the name Culrav and Avishkar respectively. The fests are visited by good celebrities, but that highly depend on the budget and the college administration behaves very miserly in terms of money.

Its just a matter of scoring good in JEE Mains. There are no interviews or GD for B.Tech, however, you have to give interview if you are applying for M.Tech.
