Remarks
NIST is the best College in Odisha in terms of placement and campus life. It provides us very peaceful environment to persue our studies. One of the best thing about this College is its faculties.All the faculties members are very supportive and they make us learn all the topics very easily.One of the main reason to choose this College beside others is its fees which is comparatively low.The College dalo provides us good internship opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of the college is quite good. They mainly focus on practical learning instead of theoretical knowledge.All the facilities are PhD and are genious minds.Their teaching methods makes students learn every topic easily.The student ratio is also very proportionate and is 6:4 as there are less no. Of girls compared to boys.We have 8 semesters in the span of 4 years and 1-1 mid semesters in the middle of every semester.Questions asked in the examination are mainly based on students knowledge instead of theoretical definitions.
Internships Opportunities
The college have collaborated with many organisations and have signed many MOUs with government organisations to provide INTERNSHIP to students. We are provided paid internships here which helps us know the functioning of organisations betterly.
Placement Experience
The placement is very good in our college. Almost 85-90% students get placed every year in organizations like TCS,Wipro, Infosys,Amazon, Cognizant,etc.The highest package goes upto 22 lakh per annum and average package is almost 4-5 lpa . My plan is to persue GATE examination after completing my degree.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total tution fees including transportation fees and hostel charge (20000 per annum) for all the 4 years is 560000. The college provides us scholarship based on our semester performance and have collaborated with many organisations to provide financial assistance to students. We easily get education loan from bank for our studies.
Campus Life
The campus life is good.we have peaceful environment to study and 2 libraries, one is the central library of the college and other one we have in our hostel.We easily get all the books related to our course. The college also provides us a good platform to persue our dream in sports. We have basketball court, volleyball court,kabaddi court,badminton court and gym facilities in our college.We also have many events going on throughout the year which includes annual sports fest and annual cultural fest called WAVES. We also have many clubs like NIST consultancy services, club Excel, dance club etc which helps us enhance our skills.

Admission
The admission was based on the marks of JEE MAINS and OJEE. The technical education department of Odisha conducts counselling process(OJEE Counselling) for the admission and based on our rank we were alloted colleges.I got CSE in the second round in NIST.
