Remarks
Amity is without any doubt a great name in educational institutions of Uttar Pradesh which makes it a great place for students. I did my BCA here as I knew about most of its achievements such as AICTE approval and NAAC accredition. It was among 65 top institutes in overall NIRF rankings as per year 2020. Admission process for the course was quite simple as we didn't have to appear in any University entrance exam and got admissions as per the academic background.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being a lover of technology I was a little confused about going towards engineering or BCA programme, some concerns were there for both the cases but atlast I chose BCA from Amity. The university has a whole of computer experts offering us the latest knowledge about changes in the industry. It was a 3 year course in which the first year worked to cover the fundamentals while the 2nd & 3rd year made us worthy enough to stand out in a competitive field
Internships Opportunities
Internship round is the best opportunity students can get for fulfillment of their skill objectives because it gives one challenging and worthy work offer's helping them in achieving great success of the particular fields.
Placement Experience
I had some particular plans to follow after my graduation and doing a job was not included in that which is why I resisted opting for the placement round. Our Amity university was able to get record packages upto INR 28 Lacs. Mahindra, Infosys, HCL, Cognizant and Tata were some of the top names among the recruiters while MBA was the best programme in terms of student placements.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure at Amity was little higher than some BCA Institutes I know but yeah the quality also matters alot. The university charged an semester fee of INR 90,000 and being a 6-semester course the total fee was INR 5.4 lacs for BCA here. Some particular fee waiving schemes were available there for some categories.
Campus Life
Amifest was our annual fest at Amity and it was full of entertainment and energetic environment. There were facilities for each department like the computer lab was quite famous among BCA students due to its need in their Practical works. Library at Amity was a popular place among all the available programmes because it had content for all of them. The university had great opportunities for sport's lovers also having rare games like Polo & Riding also
Hostel Facilities
Living in the university hostel was not my need because I was a local student. I can't share any personal review about the hostel facilities but as far as my friends have told me they were all pretty good. Mess food was even better than what they expected and the menu was shuffled after regular time by the mess staff. The fee was a little high as the annual charges were INR 1.25 Lacs for both the genders.
Admission
Clearing XII standard with the minimum marks condition set by Amity University is important in order to apply for the BCA programme. While the final selection was dependent on the merit list prepared by the institute among all applied candidates.
