There are several reasons why SRM is a good choice and why should anyone opt for this University.Reasons to choose SRM : 1. The main campus (KTR ) is massive and the infrastructure is beautiful.2. SRM provides decent placements and internships with an average package of 5-6 Lakhs ( Main Campus).3. SRM itself is a brand because of its popularity.Bad aspects of SRM : The college is centralized AC but there are no facilities for ground , so no physical activities.Reasons of preferring this college over others as SRM provides decent placements and getting into this college is not too hard. You can easily get Computer Science stream if you have a good rank.

SRM University provides courses including B.E B.Tech , B.Sc. , M.Sc. , M.E. / M.TECH , BCA , MCA. But reason of me choosing this course were easiness of finding jobs and getting powerful and very useful skills. Student ratio that SRM University actually was quite bad. For example a boy- girl ratio of 8 :1 indicating that there are 8 boys for every 1 girl. Qualification of the faculty includes minimum of post graduation in there respective subject to PhDs for higher positions. Teaching method in our college included group discussion activities , smart board teaching , content focused learning , Inquiry based learning. Term exams were taken every 6 month gap and Ct ( Class test were taken every 1 month span) around 3 CTs in a month. If you did well in your CTs half of the battle you've passed as 50% weightage includes CTs and 50 % term exam. But you need to keep in mind that you've pass the term exam to secure that subject.

No, I did n't opted for any internship. There were many internship oppurtunities from big companies including Microsoft , Amazon , ZOOM RX. Roles offered by each company was a developer role and stipend offered by most of the companies was around 20000 - 30000 / month based on the profile. Projects related to block chain , Build a website , Developing application. Django was used as the framework in developing application. Python , HTML and CSS used for designing the back- end and front - end. Heroku was the cloud platform that was used to deploy and run the application.

From the 7 Semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies that visited our campus included Big MNCs like TCS , Wipro , Infosys , IBM , Deloitte , Amazon , KPMG , BYJUS and ZS Associates and these companies offers vary from company to company. TCS offered highest and KPMG offered least offers. Highest package as per company was around 18 Lakh / annum offered by Amazon. Average package as per company was around 4.5-5 Lakh/ annum. These IT based company offered various profile including Software Developer , Decision Analyst , Business Development Associate. I'm currently working in WIPRO Ltd after getting degree.

Fee structure or Cost to Study in SRM Chennai ( KTR campus) is around 231,000 annually and alternate year you've to pay around 7% more on existing fees. SRM University fees structure is affordable and the fees for all the programmes can be paid online. SRM University provide offers various scolarships , fee waiver schemes , teaching and research assistance to deserving students. I got a job on campus in Wipro Ltd with stipend 38k/month.

SRM (KTR campus) 250 acre campus at Kattankulathur , near Chennai. Annual fest that SRM University organizes MILAN (Annual cultural Festival of SRMIST,Chennai ) and usually fest is conducted in march and tech fest is conducted in Septemeber. SRM University has an excellent library for the benefit of students , researchers and faculities. The library is located in 15 Storey University Adminstrative block , and is spread over Ground+3 floors of 1.50 Lakh sq ft area. Huge, airy classrooms with cross aeration. SRM has good sports and recreation facilities on campus including tennis, badminton, basketball , volleyball , yoga and central gym for men at SRM with bodybuilding equipment. Cocoon is one website for students run by students.

SRM University provide a wide choice in selecting the type or rooms to suit every budget depending on student requirement. We had a choice to avail for AC with attached Washroom 2 sharing and individual table and chairs in each room. The students staying at SRM hostels are provided with healthy food options as we had separate menu and had a choice both for south indian and north indian food. Quality of meal was far better than outside eatables and included both veg and non veg. Forms of hostel accomodation are required to be submitted to the hostel office. All students of all programs are advised to login to Online Hostel Room Booking portal to select and pay hostel and mess fee online for next academic year.

No, there were no GD , interviews questions for the admission. Admission to UG and PG courses is done on basis of entrance test conducted by SRM University. In my case B.Tech, admission is done on the basis of SRMJEE scorecard. Online test during my time included Physics , Chemistry , Math and each section consists of 30 questions. I referred to my CBSE books and getting basics covered will help to pass SRMJEE online test.
