Course Curriculum is quite good but is lengthy and regular hard work is required to maintain the marks. Teachers are qualified and experienced, they know how to teach even basics of a subject, behavior is good, they accept all doubts and questions asked by the students and respond well enough even to a new comer to the field.

Since I am in 3rd Semester, I have not attempted for an internship till now.

Currently placements are very good for Computer Science and Engineering and Information Science departments, but for others its not going well. As claimed by the college, many major and small companies like HP, Tech Mahindra, Cisco, ADATA, Samsung and many comes for recruits.

There is only one major fest; SAPTHRANG celebrated each year in which students all the departments contribute presenting many stage shows, trials, acts, competitions like gaming, music, debate, poster making and many more which change each year as conducted by initials.

Hostel room is spacious, and all are 3 or 2 sharing, but could be 1 in minor cases. There are rooms with common bathroom & toilet and also attached. The common toilets get cleaned everyday.Current Hostel fees is 60,000 for rooms with common bathroom & 65,000 for attached ones. Each year Rs 5000 is incremented as observed.Mess food is below average, and some might even find them not edible, especially Chapatis. Sometimes it get worse, but sometimes when there are invitations for guests the food somehow get better.

Generally for CS and IS department boys are 1/3rd in number. In Mechanical, girls number is negligible, but for rest of the departments boys and girls numbers are around equal.There is quite a good crowd in here, even the college is big enough, but most people stay near to their respective departments. Many people are here even from Jammu the farthest from the place. People who are from the richest or the mid and even some who work part times study. There is negligible political drama since most people are diverted to studies because tests are almost always on.

I would rate a 4 out of 5 stars for our seniors, almost everyone is friendly and be as an elder brother. But since all are busy dealing with their own lives, often misses because of the curriculum.
