Remarks

IIHMR University is one of the best colleges for healthcare management courses. To apply for MBA-HM in IIHMR one has to clear any management aptitude exam. I have cleared IIHMR U-MAT, which was conducted by the college itself. I was called for GD/PI after clearing the exam. Admission was based on the overall score.

I have opted for MBA-HM (healthcare/hospital management) purely out of interest. Though I'm a medical doctor I prefer to work in the healthcare-hospital administration and management sector. IIHMR provides a strong foundation for the same as part of their flagship MBA program. IIHMR is an academic as well as a research institute. Most faculties are Ph.D. holders with excellent academic experience, which is a major highlight

Internship programs are provided in various healthcare firms, government agencies like National Health Mission and hospitals. All students are guided by mentors which help them to make the best out of their internship programs

In first year students will be placed for internship programs in various healrhcare firms as well as hospitals. Job placements start in second year. Almost 100% students are getting placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is worth as we are getting the MBA from one of the finest institutes for healthcare management. Scholarships can be availed on a merit basis. The University provides almost 100% placement for students, both for job as well as internship programs. We have a strong placement cell to take care of that.

Campus Life

IIHMR University is one of the cleanest colleges in India. The curriculum is well organized. Classroom amenities and library facilities are of good standards. There are a lot of opportunities for students to exhibit their artistic as well as academic skills.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus. The rooms are air-conditioned and well maintained. A mess facility is available. Hostel needs to be booked after completing college admission procedures by paying hostel fee for the first year

The first step of admission is to clear any management aptitude exam with desired scores. After that, there was GD and PI as part of the admission process. GD topic was on the Covid-19 scenario and intervention of the health sector in controlling the pandemic. PI was mostly to evaluate aptitude, communication skills, general knowledge, and current affairs.

We are allowed to attend placements from the third semester. Some companies that visit our campus include HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, TCS and Infosys. Almost 85% students usually are placed during these placements. CTC differs every year; however the highest package comes around 10 LPA.

Placement Experience:

The placement process starts from the 2nd year. The placement cell and committee take great efforts in providing quality training for the same by conducting mock interviews, business etiquettes sessions, etc. At the start of the 2nd year, one needs to decide one specialization between hospital and health management. Likewise, organization profiles are suggested and the process takes place. Companies like ZS, Deloitte, Narayana Hospital, CARE, Cipla, Accenture, Aditya Birla Capitals etc come for recruitment. No of offers varies according to different organizations. The highest package trend has been 11.8, 17.12 and 10.5 respectively for years 2019, 2020 and 2021. The average is 5.52, 5.8 and 5.1 respectively for 2019, 2020, 2021. A 100% placement record has been maintained by IIHMR University. After getting the degree I'll be looking for career options in the public health sector.

Generally, before completion of the MBA degree students get opportunities from various MNCs for jobs. 80% of the candidates were placed by the end of the 4th Semester. Various companies did the placement drives and students got selected. My plan immediately after the degree was to start up a business of my own and I did that and today I am running it well with 4 branches in the same city.

Placement Experience:

After semester 3 the students are eligible for campus placement several companies visit our college such as SBI ICICI bleach jobs Nestle and number of reputed companies highest package offered was 6 lakh per annum and for marketing profile, 70% of the students get placement from college and 30% are not interested in placement as they have their own business or a not interested in working after getting the degree. My plan will be to enter the corporate world.

Remarks:

The faculty of our college is very good and helpful. They help students like a mother help her children and motivate students. The process of admission is very easy like you have to fill a form or RMAP and than as per the % of graduation you will be selected or as per the CAT percentile. This is the only college in Jaipur which provides best education along with practical knowledge at low cost.

I even applied for chitkara university but I chose this because the placements here are much better. After graduation, anyone can take admission if they have scored 50% in their graduation. 1. I had applied for GIM, TISS, SIHS, XIMB -RM. I didn't join GIM due to hefty fees for a non-flagship course, SIHS because of no proper placement details and XIMB -RM out of no interest in the course field. For TISS, I got waitlisted for the applied course so couldn't enrol. 2. I didn't avail any quota for admission. 3. For MBA Hospital and Health Management there's no age limitation. Bachelor's in any specialization with 50% marks in aggregate are allowed for the course. Candidates should have valid scores in exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT. For CAT, the cut off percentile is 55. The university conducts there own institute's entrance exam IIHMR UMAT. They can appear for UMAT and appear for round 2. 4. The admission process is divided into 2 parts. Part 1- Appear for exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT or IIHMR UMAT and submit the scorecard. I wanted to pursue MBA in rural management for which IIHMR is a certified University. The admission process started in 2020 May. I attended the IIHMR entrance exam for the same. After filling the application form and giving the respective exam, I attended the GD/PI session held online. I was asked to speak for about 5 min on the given topics. They announced the final result in August and started the new academic session in September 2020. The reason I preferred this college over the other colleges is that they have well-qualified teachers and the subjects they tech are totally relevant to the course.
