Tapmi Manipal PGDM review

The experience was very good. The students who qualified for the eligibility criteria which was 85%ile had to give an EPT exam, group discussion, and personal interview. There are no age restrictions as such. I was selected in colleges like IIM JAMMU, IIM SIRMAUR, IIM BODHGAYA, IIM SAMBALPUR, NIRMA, NMIMS BANGALORE, TAPMI. Later I selected Tapmi as it had an edge over these institutions.

The course curriculum is amazing. The teaching pedagogy is very good the classes are highly interactive and we are evaluated on the basis of class participation as well which forces us to pay attention in the class.

A good number of companies visit and recruit students. Companies like Michael page, Johnson and Johnson, JP Morgan, EY, Crisil, Byjus, GEP, Pidilite, Gartner, Infosys, etc come to the campus. The stipend is usually 15000-20000 and the average package is 11.5lpa.

The placements are decent. The average package is of the overall batch is around 11.5 LPA. The average package of bkfs is 10.8 LPA. The average package of hrm is 9.5lpa The average package of marketing is 10.2lpa. Summer internships are decent but freshers face a bit of difficulty.

The fees structure is a bit expensive. The total fee is 18 lakh excluding mess and electricity charges. This makes it a bit expensive as compared to other colleges of the same Tier. The scholarships are provided on the basis of cat percentile, income, deceased parent, etc.

We don't have any social life as of now as things are going online. College does its best to ensure that we don't miss out on anything. The gates of college have started to open for us. So let's hope for good college life.

In the covid scenario, students are provided with a room with single occupancy. No more than 2 people can stay together in a room. All the rooms have an attached bathroom as well. Meals are okayish and hygienic. You have to pay for those meals daily.

Firstly we had an ept exam. This included basic knowledge of the English language. Then we had a group discussion in which my topic was related to water shortage. Then we had an interview. In the interview, we are asked behavioral questions not the general HR one. For eg - tell us a risk you took and what you learned from it.
