Opportunities and life at TAPMI

I applied for Tapmi, GIM, IMT among others. I was not eligible for any quota for admission. The cut-off for all entrances is different, but the range of percentile cutoff is between 80-85 for cat and xat. The admission process was very smooth and included the entrance exam, gd, pi and English tests.

I chose the general MBA over the specialized branch because I wanted to explore all branches of the MBA before selecting a specific role. Each class has 60 students and we get enough opportunities to interact with faculty. The teaching method includes PPTs as well. I am yet to give end term exams.

The companies have started recruitment for internships in September itself. Marketing, finance and IT companies are major recruiters in TAPMI. Almost all big companies like Gartner, jpmc, Deloitte, etc visit the campus for internships.

Placement opportunities are provided to all the students. Around 6-10 students opt out of placement, the rest all do get placed. The average CTC for PGDM general is 11+ lakhs per annum. The highest is around 20+ lakhs per annum and the lowest is around 8 lakhs per annum.

30% scholarship is given to 50 students based on various criteria. Hostel fees are quite costly but all facilities are available in the hostel. Fees are similar to other B-schools. I am yet to get an internship as I am in my first year.

There are many clubs and committees in TAPMI. All clubs and committees are managed by students themselves. Almost every student gets into one of the committees. Many sports facilities are available on campus, though I have not been on campus yet due to lockdown, all the facilities are available on campus.

Two students are allotted one room. Electricity charges are paid by the students. AC is available in all the rooms, with bathrooms attached. From what I have heard from seniors, food quality is better than the general perception of mess food

There was a GDPI process conducted for admission. The GD topic was related to the share market, as this is an admission process for an MBA institute. PI questions were based on general knowledge, situation basis, previous experience.
