Remarks

The admission process of TAPMI was very smooth and with no technical glitches or surprises. Clear details about every round were provided via email. There was a quick response if any query or concern was raised. Also, a good number to reach the admissions team directly was also shared. A brief about the type of interview questions that we can expect was also shared via email. TAPMI is known for its behavioral-based questions during the interview and that was maintained in this year's admission process too. One unique element in the selection process of TAPMI was an English proficiency test conducted to check students' command in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in the English language. Group discussion was also conducted. Overall the admission process was very professional and a notch better than other institutes I applied for. Other than TAPMI, I have applied for IMI Delhi, Fore Delhi, LBSIM Delhi, KJ Somaiya Mumbai and got offers from all, however not in the core program.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I opted for PGDM-Core in TAPMI. It is the flagship course of the institute. The course is well-structured with an aim to inculcate manegerial and leadership skills in the students that is at par with global standards. The classes are very interactive and provides a unique opportunity to learn at a pace of our choice. The case study based pedagogy, simulations, live projects, guest lectures of industry experts, corporate competitions are some core components that a student engages in if he decides to pursue an MBA from TAPMI. The faculty is very experienced and are expert at their domains. Some of them have hands-on experience of working in the industry. They are not just working to empowering the students but are also engaged in research and development and have their papers accepted in journals quite often. The student-faculty ratio at TAPMI is 16:1. Faculty can be easily approached via WhatsApp, call or email. They are willing to provide extra hours at work to guide the students.

Internships Opportunities

5

TAPMI ensures to achieve 100% internship record year on year. 181 companies visited the campus to offer internship opportunities in various sectors. The highest stipend of INR 1,20,000 per month was offered by Wipro consumer care and lighting. The process for applying is a first company shares the job description, the students then nominate themselves, profile of the students are shortlisted by the company and then the selection process begins, that generally includes, test, GD, and few rounds of interviews.

Placement Experience

5

The placement record of the college is 100%. Many top companies visit the campus from sectors like consulting, banking, automobiles, IT, E-commerce, FMCG, etc. 181 companies visited the campus to offer internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is justifiable when infrastructure and facilities are taken into consideration. The institute has 16 bloomberg labs and 7 reuter terminals, which only a handful of the B-schools have in India. The course is a fully residential course, so staying in hostels is a mandate. However, due to the pandemic and a shift to online classes, the hostel fee was not included this time. TAPMI provides scholarships of upto 2.9 crores under Dr. Ramdas Pai Merit scholarship scheme. Around 50 students can bag the scholarship if they fulfil the required criteria. The scholership is provided on the bases of the CAT score and the family gross income. TAPMI is associated with several banks to ensure swift financial assistance to students who wish to avail the education loan.

Campus Life

5

The program offered by TAPMI is fully residential as the institute believes in all round development of the students however for our batch the classes are going on in an online mode. The facility to access the library is provided via TAPMI IntraNet. Kindle editions of all the relevant books are given to the students. Worksheets, notes, case study, HBS journels are provided to us on daily basis. The institute have 24 committes and 6 clubs that are completely run by the students. Few of the flagship events of TAPMI are Brandscan, Disha, Ignite, Quiz on the beach, Atharva etc. Some of the clubs at TAPMI are TAPMI book club, house of arts, Arthnivesh.

Interview Experience

4.5

The admission process was a mix of all the components i.e, Group discussion, interview and English proficiency test(EPT). The topic of the group discussion was based on current affairs and was of moderate level of difficulty. The personal interview was based of behavioral scenarios to understand the approach of the students to tackle different situations. The EPT was to assess the applicant's proficiency in reading, writing, listening to the English language. The best way to prepare for the admission process is to read the newspaper daily, write down the answers to the basic questions that are asked in an interview.
