Remarks
First of all, the infrastructure and the reviews among the people played a greater role in selecting this college. The college has a very good infrastructure and the campus is always lit. The all-over white buildings give us peace and stability. My admission to that college was completely based on the reviews given by people we knew. But the fact is that I had no idea about anything related to choosing a college after schooling and even my marks were not that high. Had a tough time, joining a college and I finally joined the sathyabama institute of science and technology. I joined the college with a management quota. But it was a good decision.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because I had a little interest, in the subject and after joining the course, it was very interesting and I loved the subjects, the curriculum, and the faculties. Faculties here are very friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. They help us all the time. They share their number and permit us to text or call during exam time if in case we had any doubts on the subject. The exams conducted by the institution are quite easy to pass. If we attend the classes regularly and take notes. The institution has a good student, faculty ratio. There are sufficient staffs, for every subject and every non-subjects. Staffs use projectors as well as boards to teach. We will have 2 assessments before every semester, the assessments are nothing but a unit test. Assessment is compulsory because 50 % of your final mark comes from this. That is the mark we get from the semester will be converted to 50 and the assessment 50 will be combined the final semester result will be given. So assessments are very important than a semester. That is why exams are easy here. Because of the 50: 50 ratio. ( assessment: semester)
Placement Experience
I did not attend placement, because I had ideas to study higher education, so I did not attend any placement in the college. I am doing my post graduation in another college. But from the my friends from other department, got placed in good companies with good package and are happy with the job. Some are doing their post graduation. Some are going for jobs not by campus placement.
Fee Structure And Facilities
205000 / per annum, was the fees structure when I joined the college, but I heard there are rises in the fees, but for all the 4 years through my course. I paid the same amount every year. There are a lot of scholarship students studying here. These students come from rural areas, with the support of popular foundations that provide free education to the students who scored good marks in 12th. There are even a lot of students with physical disabilities studying here. Even the college itself supports students and gives time to pay the fees if in case there is a personal problem, It is friendly management. Lots and a lot of IT and Computer-based companies are on the line. But for civil engineering, at the maximum of 6 - 7 companies are only there. The placement cell sometimes forces students from non-IT field to join the IT field. Otherwise for other branches especially, IT, CS, Mech, ECE, EEE, get a lot of opportunity during the placement. Many high package companies too like Amazon, Zoho, Capgemini etc. come for placement. They provide good placement training in the campus.
Campus Life
You can check out the college website and the infrastructure and amenities are good. The best part of the college as already said is the infrastructure, the college has a big central library and a lot of books for reference. They have a research centre inside the campus. You can meet a lot of researchers at the time of projects, paperwork and presentations. They are always helpful and friendly. We have sports day and events are conducted. The cultural is held for 2 days and the best days of your college life has the cultural, lot of symposiums, workshops and lot more. People from all parts of India come to this college with a vast variety of cultural and social life. But going outside the college during college hours are strictly restricted. The college respects everyone's belief. They arrange buses for Muslim students on Fridays and take them to the mosque for the Friday prayers every Friday. Being a Christian minority college. They do not impose any of the culture or belief in other students. The campus has a varied culture like The India. the hostel has a lot of amenities es like parlous, gyms, food court, laundry, etc. There are AC rooms available in the hostel.
