I went through PET as for the entrance examination and scored 99 out of 150 to get qualified to opt this college.

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), a project funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), provides e-learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Management and Humanities. This is a joint initiative by seven IITs and IISc Bangalore. Other selected premier institutions also act as Associate Partner Institutions.

IIST is the nodal centre for virtual lab. Virtual Labs is a project initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology. The project aims to provide remote-access to Laboratories in various disciplines of science and engineering for students at all levels from under-graduate to research.

I was placed in Pnestec during my placement year, I soon left the company and joined another company where I am doing well now. Even at my time most of the people was placed from my section. Packages were also fair enough for us and joining came very early for us.

The value of sports in overall development of human mind and body and as such provide some of the very best sporting facilities to our students. Apart from such popular outdoor sports like cricket, hockey, football, table tennis etc. IIST also has started yoga and meditation classes which help students in recuperating mentally.

I think the fees structure was quite OK, neither expensive nor cheap. I had 75000 per semester fee. Which I used to pay in two installments. And this thing was much appreciable for the institution. Tuition fee was 45000 and the rest was extra fee for bus and other amenities.

Yes, they do provide scholarship to merit students and also provide loan facility if available. They provide 100% relaxation in tuition fee if merit score is more than 90%

IIST provides top class hostel facilities to its students. It has separate arrangement for boys and girls with both the hostels having a capacity of more than 250 students. Each room is shared by three students and is equipped with modern amenities as well as attached bath and toilet.

Yes, we do have alumni network and they tend to help the institution in every way they could. We also have alumni meets where students learn from their seniors.

We have a 8 semester system which was based on percentage marking system.Besides this we also have the following courses are the Course Delivery Methods used in our department Lecture interspersed with discussions, Lecture with quiz, Tutorial and Remedial classes, Demonstration ( Such as model, laboratory), Group Discussion, Group Assignment/ Project, Presentations.

Went through MP counselling process the was allotted this college, after this we have to go to college for the admission process and fee. We had to then have a campus visit session. Campus visit session was awesome as the college had good infrastructure.

Faculty development programs are conducted along with internship for participating students. IIST regularly conducts workshops by TCS and gets professional trainers to address students in its classrooms. TCS instructors deliver training in a lecture and classroom format as a demonstration with the opportunity for learners to practice utilizing electronic tools.
