Remarks

RIE Bhubaneswar provides dual degrees i.e BSc and bed too. For admission in RIE, there are two quotas- state quota and category, I belonged to Jharkhand and category wise there were two seats for general. Adm criteria- RIE conducts RIE CEE for admission purposes. 60% weightage of rie cee and 40% weightage from 12 boards marks. I got 74.5 marks total and was on a waiting list and I must say the competition is increasing year after year. Counselling was held first selected list students were admitted then waiting list students were called for remaining seats All documents were verified which included a domicile certificate (which is a must),10 12 board marks and a medical certificate is also needed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As it provided me with a professional + dual degree and my one year is saved so I chose this course. Faculty members are very supportive and are ready to help you whenever needed Some teachers are permanent while some work on a contractual basis, faculty members are very much limited. There are 50 students for each course. BSc is further divided into 17,17,16 students in maths physics and chemistry respectively. Most of the faculty members have completed their PhD and some are pursuing it. Teaching method- lecture+ projector for proper explanation and they are trying to improve the quality. The college takes all its internal examinations on time but semester exams for which University is responsible some delay can be seen but college tries its best to take exams on time. College provide library and books helps in making proper notes. A thorough study makes it easier to pass the exam.

Internships Opportunities

4

In 3rd year 20 days training is given where students teachers go and teach small govt school students in rural areas And in the 4th year, 3 months internship is done in Kendriya Vidyalaya and navodayas which is a crucial part of the completion of this program but these internships are not paid. It's only for our experience and boosting our confidence.

Placement Experience

3.5

In the last sem ie 4th year students get placed. It is said that students get a package of 35k per month, many students go for further studies rather than taking placements. 13 schools have been seen coming and offering placement mostly private schools.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is 5000 and lab and other college maintenance charges cost a max of 15 k per annum. I m in the 2nd year 2019 batch and there has not been any fee hike. In 1st year the scholarship was provided to 7000 to low income students and 3500 to other eligible students and besides this financial assistance is also given. There is campus selection for 2years I have seen 13 schools coming for selection from different parts of India and in the internship, you are not paid.

Campus Life

4

Only one fest occurs annually. The freshers party is done in the month of October. And quota fresher is also organised to have a better understanding between students from the same region. Books journals write up many such things are available in Library, study room is also provided in library with good infrastructure. Sports day is also organised and different programmes are held where students get a chance to represent themselves.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is a small room where 3 students have to live, some students manage it but some feels it is too congested. The menu of meals is decided by students only. The meal quality is good and on Saturdays night it's like a feast. 2100 is taken as a monthly charge for 3 times meal+ 4000 in every 6 months for hostel maintenance +co-curriculum activities During admission to the college, the hostel is also registered and rooms are booked Warden instructs on 1st day of the hostel. It's not allowed to go to after 8 pm otherwise fine is imposed. Students live freely and in a disciplined way. Principal sir and other faculty members visit hostel at intervals to know about the working and problems of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

those course curricullams at central university of odisha is thought fully designed ,offering a balanced blend of theoretical depth and practical relevance. on eof the key reason why students opt for such courses like int mathmatiss is the seamless academic progression and strong foundation it provides for research and comprdative exams. that curricullum could be more better as it can be more practical. what we are studing is like 80% theory and just 20% practical. so i do think that could be more better. the quality needs to be improved.

Generally there is 100% placement but much students prefer pursuing higher course by doing Msc.
