Remarks
This is the first college for which I've applied and I got selected. No quote is been applied by me. The admission criteria are very easy and no other exams we need to give for getting admission in the college to pursue a bachelor's in journalism and mass communication. The admission process was simple, you need to go to the college and fill the admission form and in some days they will ask you to submit the fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I have to work in the media line and I have a dream to become an actor so mass communication will be the best course to be connected with the Bollywood industry. 80:6 is the ratio of the students and faculty. The qualifications of the faculty are Bachelor's and Master's in mass communication and some senior teacher has also done Ph.D. in their respective field. All the examination tends to happen between the time period of 1 to 2 months, two sessionals and one main exam per semester.
Internships Opportunities
There are not much-known companies in which you get placement but there are many internship opportunities that you can get but you have to be quite an opportunist for that and I get 8 thousand from an internship and if you have 3 to 4 months of experience in a non-paid internship you can get more than that. Not many projects have come because of the covid situation and we have only attended 6 months of the online classes.
Placement Experience
The placement percentage should be more than 7 CGPA and less company comes in the mass communication department but you'll get plenty of internships to make your resume stronger. I'm doing internships from a media company as a content writer and a social media executive and I also do freelance jobs in my spare time.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is constant and the same for all the students and it is 40,000 per semester. Scholarships are being given to the students who come in the following category, EWS(Economically Weaker Section), Minority (Sc/St), and if you have done good in your curricular or co-curricular activities.
Campus Life
The annual fest is generally being conducted in the month of March named UTKARSH. All the kinds of books is being available in the library like fiction, science, politics, etc. The classroom is pretty good but the only problem is that there is no AC and Wifi in the department. BBD is always been in sports and they always do good in it and its cricket stadium is the largest university cricket stadium. There are every kind of clubs there like drama club, dance club, debate club, etc and they do a lot of things for this.
