Entrance Preview
DAVV organises Common Entrance Test (DAVV) every year through which admission to various university colleges is done. I had heard MMS is best integrated course for management.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was good which involved most of the management subjects. During graduation most of the management related subjects were taught. In post graduation specialisation related subject were taught. In the 10'th semester students were supposed to complete a project which was a good learning opportunity.
Internships Opportunities
No the college does not provide any internship facility during the time I studied. Students had to arrange for themselves.
Placement Experience
The placement facility of the college was not very good at that time. Though there was a placement officer but mostly students had to fend for themselves. Though the placement that year was good (around 70%) but that was because of students knowledge.
College Events
There were many events int he college. Staring with the freshers party which was held for incoming students. Then there were events during the year like ad-mad show, fun games. Various other educational events were also held like seminars from eminent personalities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was affordable during my tenure. Fee was around 6000 INR for a semester which was not too much considering engineering colleges were charging 40000 INR for a year. The students opting for NRI quota had to pay more as there fee was in dollars.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan facility should be available from banks as the college is reputed one in the town. There were no scholarship in the college though students getting admission through NRI quota used to get waiver due to their political connections.
Campus Life
Gender ratio of the college was good as the college was considered to be a safe college for girls. There were students from various parts of the country and the world also. Freshers party and farewell parties were held. Also there were events on Holi, Diwali,Christmas.
Exam Structure
Exams were easy. Basically there were two category of tests. There were 3 internal tests during the semester for a subject and then there was final exam. Internal tests had 40% weight-age and external 60% weightage. Exams were usually easy as paper were set by the faculty themselves.
Admission
Notification for CET was done around April time frame and exam was held in June. I appeared for exam which basically involved questions about maths, reasoning, general awareness, and english. The question paper that year was fairly simple and I got admission through Indore quota.
Faculty
Faculty of the college was mostly average. Very few teachers were inspirational. Though most of the teachers had PHD degree but either they did not had very good communication skills or were involved in college politics. Other bad part is that few of the faculty are pass outs from the same college and they did not had proper command over subjects.
