Entrance Preview

I took the MAT and scored a comprehensive percentile of 94. However, I got admission on the basis of my work experience. I opted for this college based on reviews from friends who studied here and also noticed the presence of the students of this university in the industry.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is relatively extensive in the first year covering a wide ranging subjects such as essentials of hospital services, principles of management, epidemiology, biostatistics, finance and accounting, research methods, etc. In the 2nd year, you get to opt for healthcare or hospital management based on the preference and marks.

Internships Opportunities

The college does arrange for companies and organisations for internship. However, the stipend is at the sole discretion of the organisations. Companies like sun pharmaceuticals, Columbia Asia hospital, fortis hospitals, etc have come in the past for internship recruitment.

Placement Experience

4

From what I see, with the placement process beginning for the senior batch, companies like Columbia Asia hospital, ZS Healthcare and Deloitte have come for placements with an average package of about 6.5 lakhs per annum. These companies conduct an aptitude test followed by Group discussion and personal interview. Roughly 4-5 students have been placed with these companies.

College Events

4.5

After joining in July 2016, we have celebrated janmashtami, freshers, foundation day, ganesh chaturthi. The celebrations are usually on a big scale and we have an active cultural committee behind the celebrations. An efficient conference committee ensures that the conferences are conducted successfully.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is about 6.45 lakhs for two years and includes things like uniforms, IT fees, library fees, exam fees, sports, extra curricular activities, etc. Lodging and food is separate. I found the fees structure to be feasible enough considering the facilities provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does provide scholarships to meritorious students but I do not know of those details precisely. They did provide all the necessary documents promptly to help me procure a study loan from the bank.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms are sparse for boys. It is a 2 BHK apartment with twin sharing rooms. Geyser is provided in the attached bathrooms. A common washing machine is also provided. Safety and security is there with a guard and entry timing of 10 p.m. You may keep your vehicles inside the hostel campus. 24x7 free college Wi-Fi is available. The fees is approximately 40000 for one year.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is relatively hectic and comprises of midterm exams in every module and a term exam when a set of modules end. It is definitely not very chilled out and keeps us on our toes and engrossed in studies. Term exams are held at an interval of about 2 months.

Admission

I applied for admission online. They evaluated my previous work experience and 10+2 and graduation marks and s3levted me for group discussion followed by a personal interview. The group discussion and personal interview was carried out very efficiently. The results were declared promptly according to the schedule.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college comprises of experienced individuals, each having their own style of teaching which makes it more interesting. Their vast knowledge is quite apparent when they take classes. Field visits are also conducted to make the students know the industry better and this is a very useful practice.
