Entrance Preview

I got a VTU seat after i wrote CET. I choose this college as it was close to my place and also because i had limited options.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This college had an R&D block which is not fully functional but it has that in its name. But the curriculum wise all the labs etc are well equipped with machinery and skilled instructors. Not sure about other branches. There are good working engines in the energy lab which is my favourite. Its exactly as prescribed by VTU. The entire syllabus comes from VTU.

Internships Opportunities

In ACSCE i haven't seen anyone getting an internship. But some have taken permission from the college and have taken up internships in HAL and KSRTC. Its more like we go and search for internship rather than the companies coming in search of us.

College Events

3

There are lot of events that happen ACSCE. Culturals/Fest , sports day and college day are the three major events that take pace in an academic year. Fest and sports day are real fun and you find the maximum crowd you can ever find in the college. There are other events like hack trics and few other events that took place or rather the college hosted and it was an inter college event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I got a Govt seat and consequently the fees was a less compared to other management seat or COMEDK etc. The college fees is 10K which every student has to pay. and then it all depends on the category , mode of admission( govt or management seat) type of exam attended for the seat (CET , COMEDK, AIEEE) and based of these there is a default sum that a student needs to pay.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any such scholarship and loans that the college provides. I have seen some of my friends who have loans but thats on their own which are education loans.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is great in ACSCE a it have bid and beautiful campus. The college has some trees around which is a delight. Recently a fighter plane has been installed at the entrance which is cool. Gender ratio is all good. There is anti ragging committee. There is a big ground for sports and a proper cricket ground.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni was formed recently. Its a 7 years old college. My seniors did help me and my friends a lot. That bond is friendship whit my seniors is cherished even now. The fests and other activities were all a combined effort of all juniors and seniors.

Exam Structure

Exams are very well conducted in this college. No copying etc and strict as hell. All the norms provided by VTU were followed when i took up my exams. Its a regular routine which is almost same in every single college and which is no different in ACSCE. Its definitely not hectic as it all depends on how you take it. Lab exams are peaceful and soon after those you get your written semester exams.

Faculty

4

The mechanical branch has a good faculty team. There are lecturer for every single subject available in house. The staff is very friendly along with our HOD who is very encouraging for research work. Some lecturer are very informative and give us good knowledge. I did a project on relatively new design on harvesting solar and wind energy which was well supported by the staff.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.
