I got 187.75 cut off in my 12th board examination. I got admission into this college through TNEA counseling in 2017. BIT is one of the best colleges for the B.Tech fashion technology program. During 2017, there were nearly 7 colleges providing B. Tech degree in fashion technology, out of which I chose BIT as the best of all. The course contents are frequently revised making the students get updated to the new trends. BIT organizes a yearly symposium named " FASHDASH" which is best known for showcasing design talents. BIT's MOU with Newzland college of fashion helps us to get connected across the world. Frequent field trips and industrial visits are part of the curriculum which helps in better understanding of concepts.

According to me, food, air, water, shelter, and clothes are the necessities of human. So I chose fashion as my career choice which is a never-ending firm. The faculty ratio is 1:20 and all staff has secured postgraduate and some with doctorate degrees. The teaching is based on Reverse Bloom's Taxonomy method. The term exams take place twice a year with a gap of six months for each semester. The examinations consist of multiple-choice questions and reasoning types that are difficult but easy if you go through your class notes and better understand the concepts taught, which is their main aim.

Fees are paid at the start of each year at a one-time payment. online payments are possible. For a B.Tech degree, the total cost will be around 8 lakhs. Government scholarships and few other private scholarships are made available for the students based on their economic status. all the students will be accompanied by officials for the scholarship process. All the students who take BIT are promised good placement opportunities, which is 100% true.

There are more than 50 clubs and 13 departments. Every club and department organizes yearly fests. BIT Library is one of the best-known libraries in Tamil Nadu which comprises three floors, centralized ac, and digital search facilities. The library has books on all subjects and is available to all. Badminton, Basketball, hockey, throwball are some of the famous sport in BIT. Students can join these teams after college hours. BIT supports its student in all ways and encourages students to participate in other college competitions.

BIT hostel and food are some of the cleanest and best known in engineering colleges. All the students both days scholar[separate mess fees is collected] and hostellers are provided with lunch. Hostel is affordable and safe for girl students. I myself stayed in BIT hostel. There are separate blocks for each year's students. Hostel menus are replaced every two months and the quality of food is very great. Hostel registration can be done during the admission process. hostel outing time is very less that is just 4 hours per week which falls on alternate days for boys and girls.
