Remarks

Ever since I started preparing for MBA entrance exam, I had my eyes on Welingkar Institute of management, Mumbai. I had done enough research about college and I found it a decent college to get into. So admission process involves applying to college and literally there is no minimum marks for applying, but you have to score at least 85 percentile in any one of entrance exam be it CMAT, CET. If your application are selected you have to appear for GD/PI. Be fully prepared about why do you want the particular course and all. For me GD/PI was smooth process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As Welingkar Institute provides various PGDM courses so you have to apply as per your choice. Most people prefer their flagship PDGM courses. I had also applied for that and my otter preferences were retail, and e-biz which are their best programs after PDGM core. I opted for retail management because I found it really good to go for. So my class strength is 60. And the faculties are really good and curriculum is designed in a way that provides you all the relevant knowledge that one needs to start their career and it also depends on individual how they grasp all that are being taught.

Internships Opportunities

4

Even in the pandemic all the students were placed for internship. Some of the companies that visited were Nestle, GEP, Accenture, Outlook Group, Morgan Stanley, Welspun . Some of the companies provide stipend and some don't. For marketing students profiles were related to sales, strategy, brand development, and research. Most of the marketing companies come with sales profile so apply as per your choice.

Placement Experience

4

The main motto of almost every students to get into B-schools are getting placed in their dream companies with attractive packages. Here in we school placement season starts from September. Every year different companies come with different profile. Some of the companies which come almost everyyear is Deloitte, capgemini, accenture, Reliance, Aditya Birla, Infosys and many more. College provide enough placement opportunities and it depends on individuals also how they grab all those opportunities. Placement record are decent. Almost 90 percent students get placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for me was 11 lacs. And I don't think there is any scholarship they provide. But their MMS program is fees is low. College provides all the required placement opportunities and it's upto you how you grab those opportunities. Pkacement record is quite good and retail batch it's really good. Out of 60 almost 55 students get placed every year

Campus Life

3.5

I really can't tell about campus life because due to pandemic classes are going online. But I hope we get into campus ASAP. As far as we have heard about campus life it's really amazing and there are best class library in college. As of now we are being provided all the books and reading materials in soft copy form. Professors try their best to provide all reading materials that we need. We have dedicated portal wherein we have access to e-liberary.

Interview Experience

4

Yes I appeared for CMAT and CET exam but my score in CMAT was high hence i applied with my CMAT score. After selection of my application I had to sit for GD/PI. If you score above 93 percentile in any of exam chances are quite high to get into this college, however, performance in GD/PI should be also good.
