Entrance Preview

I got admission directly after clearing my BA entrance examination was done if one scores less than 45% and wanted to pursue LAW.

College Events

0.5

College is not very famous for any celebration like you have XAVIERS for MALLARs KHALSA for NAZRANA. There use to be Annual day but i have hardly been there. So i cannot comment much on this but it never was so huge that people still talk about like some colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Bit feasible as in New Law college when i studied it was 3200 per annum whereas in RIZVI it was 10000 in Government Law College it was cheapest as compared to BA. However you can afford it except Rizvi frankly i do not know reason behind these difference as course was same.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i have never heard about such schemes not only from my college but any colleges where student was pursuing Law as course fees is so less i don't think anyone needs Loan like medical or MBA. These possibilities does not exist for LLB.

Exam Structure

Exams are semester wise it comes in six semester in three year i:e 2 semester each year . Having around 4 subject per semester. Exams was not the problem problem was once you fail then there hardly was any moderator to re asses your paper once it goes for re-verification. Once it tool around 6 months to get my result after chasing university for long time.

Admission

As i mentioned before i got 67.16% and i applied for LLB and i got the admission. It was simple and easy as my name appeared in first list of admission. I had nothing to do except fill the form.

Faculty

2

Faculty was good many of them were practising lawyers some could not come due to busy in court cases which sometimes hampers the course however it is the same case everywhere.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Mulund College of Commerce are fairly good especially after the college received autonomous status. Some of the well known companies like Deloitte, KPMG etc visited. The average package is around approx. 3,00,000 per annum. In my case I'm currently pursuing CA along with my B.com degree so my focus is more on completing my CA course and gaining practical training rather than the immediate placement. The college provides a good support for students like me through flexible schedules, guidance and internship exposure. Overall, MCC prepares students well for both employment and professional qualifications helping us build a strong foundation for future career growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am the part of NSS unit .. there I am genuinely learning and enjoying.. But I have figured out that for leo and Rotract they won't give credits to fy degree college students so I feel they should include first-year UGs as well. They are not giving opportunities to junior college students so I feel they junior college students should also have access to be part of different clubs and curriculums

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.com is base of all the course in commerce. And we also can do any other jobs to increase our experience in practical world because in other courses we are not able to get practical experience which is very important. The curriculum is too good as everything is about real world. There is no need to study something which is irrelevant. Everything is good but, I want that as our college opens early at 7am so library should also be open at the same time. Because many times when lectures are cancelled we just waste our time as library opens at 9am.

No issue for attendace thats what influenced me to join for bcom. not even bcom for every degree you dont need attendance just keep track of assignments. curriculum is useless no mistake of college its the syllabus of mumbai university. Teachers can be more sophisticated. 2 exams in a year are conducted and are very easy to pass out for a normal student.

Remarks:

I was a student of KJ Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce. College is autonomus now and the exams paper are set by college & not university. Faculty is good. Campus is excellent. Once you leave the college, you will miss everything from lectures, 4 ways, maggi house, management canteen, IV etc. Management students do have placements in good companies. (BMS, BBI, BFM, BAF) So, in short it is a good college with decent students & faculty.
