Entrance Preview

I appeared for CAT exam in the year 2008 but could not clear the exam. I don't remember the marks but I failed what i know.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our B.E course was mainly focused on theoretical knowledge and not practical like in case of IIT. After graduating, we had to struggle a lot in our initial days of employment as were not aware of the work to be performed.So had to learn again. Whatever studied could not be applied much in real life scenarios. So it was a fresh start learning wise

Internships Opportunities

Yes they do but there were hardly any placements during our time and due to college not so reputed, very few companies used to come for campus interview in our college.

Placement Experience

The placement were not so good during 2007-2009 years. Also the officer responsible for doing so was not so active. So very few companies used to come to college for placements. Very few students got placed and rest all had to search the jobs on their own.

Campus Life

It was average you can say as for all subjects of engineering there were private classes and many study materials were available in the market. So students used to rely more on the classes and ready book materials then what is taught in the college lectures.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement of this college is average, average package is 4.5 lpa most of the students are eligible from semester 7 The companies like Capgemini, Accenture, mind space, LTI, siemens, eclerx ,etc visited to college campus. In recent mind space give place about 12 lpa. Placement percentage is 80 percentage After getting degree my plan is for higher studies.

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

i had seen Companies visiting like Entrata, Airtel, Honeywell etc..... Highest package till now for currently year is 15 lacks. I had also seen students who are doing interships and are placed there only.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.
