Remarks
My experience in the college was good. And hostel stay was very beneficial and comfortable.
Entrance Preview
I took GTU exam and scored around 40. As I was from ICSE board, according to our allocation of seat, I was getting many colleges that's outside of Ahmedabad. And I asked many people for suggestion, which college would be good. And I was referred to LCIT. So that's how I opted for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure was good enough. As our college came under GTU, so there were 100s other colleges following the same course curriculum. And we were the first batch of GTU,though our college was under south Gujarat university earlier, course was not that different in later semester. GTU included semesters and there was one platform for all the educational process.
Internships Opportunities
No it foes not provide internship. There were many other companies coming for placement for internship but not in the college.
Placement Experience
I do not remember how many were placed. But I do remember that there were few placements and many attended them and were placed successfully. I think so around 3L-4L. There were small scale companies and also internship based companies like CMC and IT companies like collabera and others.
College Events
Events were celebrated nicely. We had technical and cultural events every year. In technical, students from our college and other colleges used to participate. There were presentations, drawings, technical games, quizzes and robo war. Cultural events were also managed nicely.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Yes it was feasible. It was below 30k per year. And hostel fees was around 13k including food. But I suppose fees must have been increased. It also had college his for transportation. As the college is on highway there were many buses and shuttles passing in front of the main gate of college. But yes overall it was feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
No LAN facility or scholarship I am aware of. There might be scholarship from GTU but not from the college.
Campus Life
There were no student parties. Workshops were scheduled accordingly. There were no cultural society but yeah if there is any disciplinary action, it was handled properly by college. Be it is an issue of hostel or anything related to college. Lecturers were supportive though.
Hostel Facilities
Hosel rooms were decent enough. It was cleaned regularly. As our college time was from 10:45am - 6pm, we had pretty decent time for breakfast. We used to come hostel for lunch between our 1hr lunch time and dinner was to be taken before 8:30. There was a mess where we had Gujarati cuisine. Often they used to make junk food like Pav bhaji and Rajasthani dish dal batti. Food was decent and the stay was comfortable. Warden was little strict. Deadline was 7pm for the entry in hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
College seniors were good and helpful. As I used to live in hostel, I had more interaction with seniors and juniors. Any doubts or issues were handled nicely by our seniors. They were very supportive and we also had fun being in their company.
Exam Structure
Labs were frequent but external exams were according to GTU. Internal exams were scheduled before external exams. As our exams were winded up in a week, so that week would be very hectic given exams were scheduled without any break. And with assignments and everything, it was quiet a hectic period. Staying in hostel was beneficial.
Admission
We had a admission process in GTU. At first we had to fill a form for the admission which we got in our school. According to our rank, we asked to stand in the line and complete our admission process. Parents were allowed and we had select colleges on the stop with the help of a volunteer. And had to submit the fees there itself in the fees submission room. So process was quite easy.
Faculty
Faculty was fabulous. I have learned a lot from few of the senior faculties. There were very helpful in the studies and Placement officer was also very helpful. I do not remember buying many books for my engineering because we used to manage standard books from the library or teachers. As I used to live in hostel, which is in college campus, I often used to approach teachers for help in certain section of course or any doubt regarding our subject.
