Remarks
I had only apllied in Sharda University & attended the same college. Being a general category student i didnt avail any quota. There are various steps for admission. Firstly the minimum marks which should be atleast 50% in graduation & the student should communicate well in english. Secondly, one should have appeared for CAT/XAT (Score 65 percentileor above) or MAT (Score 75 perceentile or above). If the candidate hasn't appeared any of the mentioned exams or doesn't have the required score then he/she can appear for the SUAT test which is conducted in online mode by Sharda University. After clearing the SUAT, the candidate will have to go through GDPI which is the last & overall step. For me, the admission process was quite simple. I took the SUAT & after a couple days GDPI was conducted over a call & finally i got the mail of my selection in the selected course.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this particular course(MBA-Dual Specialisation) as I was interested in both HR & Marketing and wanted to pursue my career accordingly. Faculty at sharda are very friendly & any new joinee will never feel out of place or cornered. My 1st semester was online & yet the faculty had created a strong bond with us. Talikng about the experience of the faculties, most of them are from the industry so its a great opportunity to learn from them as they provide us with the theoretical knowledge as well as from their experiences in the industry. Due to the pandemic, most of the classes were held online but we were never out of resources. Notes from every subject was made available by the respected faculty & they were always open to queries. Coming to exams, for each semester 2 exams were conducted (Mid-semester Exam & End-Semester Exam) for theory subjects & for the practical subjects only End-Semester exam was conducted.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of internship opportunities were made available for the students which included roles of inside sales intern, content writer, digital marketer, counselor, etc. The companies who offered internships were JShine Souk Pvt Ltd., Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, thefocusindia.org, Neophyte Consulting Services, Sahu Technologies, CueMaths, The Drive Sales, Shoppers Stop, etc Stipends were perorfance based & some were fixed by the companies for many interns.
Placement Experience
Summer Internships are offered from many companies through the placement cell for the summer training process which is a part of the curriculum. Students in the last year of the course become eligible for the campus placements. Regular updates are sent on the mail provided by the university for summer internships & placements. After I complete my masters degree i wish to join the corporate sector to polish my skills & make use of my talent.
Fees and Financial Aid
Sharda University has tie up with HDFC Bank & Canara Bank which provides education loan for students who are in need of financial assistance & to the students of the economically weaker sections. Scholarship for MBA is provided to those students who are eligible on the basis of Graduation Percentage/MAT/CAT/XAT/SUAT/PI. Fees can be deposited on yearly basis or semester wise, depending on the financial stability of the student.
Campus Life
Life at campus is quite good with cafetarias spread all over the campus providing delicious food items as well as packaged items. Library is equipped with all the latest books & journals required for the particular courses & e-library is also available for browing through articles & books. Central ACs are fitted in the classrooms & auditoriums to beat the heat. Also there are various provisions for sports & extra-curricular activities, such as basketball grounds, gymnasium, auditoriums.etc
Interview Experience
I had appeared for the SUAT test which was quite similar to MAT. Clearing SUAT was not that difficult and the test scores were mailed the same day i appeared. After a couple of days, I was informed about the Personal Interview round which was to be conducted over a call & that too was an easy process. The interviewer asked to introduce myself & after a couple of questions i was selected. Preparing for SUAT is not much difficult for those who have appeared for MAT/CAT/XAT or any other such exams & those who didn't appear any they should prepare using practice papers of CAT/MAT/XAT.
