It is one the best colleges in Chennai for B Com. There was no entrance examination for B.com. There are entrances for other courses.
Course Curriculum Overview
During the second year the students are asked to choose certain subjects that they were interested in pursuing, streams like, marketing, finance, Office administration, Industrial Relations, Auditing. we even had MBA subjects.
Placement Experience
Threre are many companies which come for campus, like HDFC, ICIC, AXIX, other banks, Hotel industries like ITC, Taj, some HR vacancies for recruitment and for generalist role., BPOs are many in number too. There are also some sales opening and accounting companies which come in. this is specifically for the Bcom category.
College Events
Most of the famous festivals are celebrated in college, then college day, cuturals, NCC day. The entire college participates in one way or the other. All departments have representatives who arrange for all the necessary events, and call for volunteers to help out. Also if the students are not participating, they are always there at the venue to cheer their friends and seniors and juniors.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, i have not availed of any loan or scholarship in my college. It may be in other departments, but in b com that was not an option.we had to pay he fees every semester.
Exam Structure
Two semesters per year. Totally there are six semesters for three year. You need to clear all semester exams by the time you complete your sixth semester.
Faculty
Faculties are good and knowledgeable. some faculties have a flair for teaching. They all are aware of how to teach the students and encourage them. Strategic management was interesting as the professor was good in teaching us the concepts and explaining it with a practical scenario. The same applies for international marketing and marketing concepts.
