Remarks

I first heard about DBS in my college from one of our professor who told me alot about the education quality of DBS. So I decided to do my master's from there. The admission of students is based on the 10th, 12th and national level exam marks along with the interview. I applied for my course by visiting the college itself and filled the admission form and paid the application fees of Rs.1078.

Course Curriculum Overview

To be get myself into the field of marketing I chose marketing in MBA. Course curriculum is well set. The course is divided in 4 semesters having 8 subjects in each semester. After the second semester students go out for a two month summer training. The faculty: student ratio is 1:50. The teachers here are experienced and we'll qualified. They use advanced teaching methods to teach us. The exams of the program are held regularly and the paper level is not very easy.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 379000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I did an internship in the firm named BookmyBook for a period of three months. My job role was of a business developer, where I had to create strategies to solve different business problems and execute them. I earned a stipend of Rs8,000 per month.

Placement Experience

After the first semester the students are eligible to sit in campus placement. RBS, FedEx, Patanjali, Kotaka Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank etc are some of the companies visiting the college campus for placement. The highest salary package offered by companies is of Rs 23.5LPA, whereas the average is of Rs 7-8 LPA. Almost 85% of the students are placed in these companies. I am currently working as the Marketing manager in FedEx.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for the program including tution fees is Rs. 4,81,000.There are different scholarships that the college provides on the basis of merit. I paid Rs 4,45,000 because of the concession I got for my CAT scores as I had scored 80 percentile.

Campus Life

Life at DBS campus is very good. We get to be in a diverse environment where students are from different states and nations. The library of campus holds many books and journals along with proper sitting arrangements for the students. We have different clubs of singing, dancing, social work, drama etc. Cultural activities and sports activities are also organized by the institution. The annual management fest of DBS is Manfest which is organized in February.

Hostel Facilities

I lived in a room that had attached bathroom, a balcony and was shared by three students. The charge for the room was Rs.62,500 per year and the meal charges were Rs36,750, same for all. The hostel is equipped with basic facilities. There is gym, indoor game facilities, mess etc. The mess is clean and well furnished. The food of mess is also very good and hygienic.

Admission

I gave CAT exam which was a bit tough but I worked hard and scored 80 percentile. Practicing the topics everyday and solving different test papers made me get good grades. I was called for a PI where the interviewer asked some questions. They asked me to introduce myself, asked a reason why I chose the course, my most rewarding or challenging academic experience etc.

My MBA Journey Was Amazing

Likes

I used to like playground as i won many matches there
I like faculties , they were highly supportive
I like the industrial visits also as we have a lot of fun and learning

Dislikes

I didn't like the mess food it was okayish only.
The pressure as there are many classes so schedule is very hectic.

For MBA Global there is a 14 days internal exchange program student goes out of country for 14 days. It provides a strong practical and theoretical knowledge it helps students understands the tipics Curriculam is affilaited with UTU. degree from here will also be government degree

Likes

The campus has decent infrastructure, a library, labs and a supportive learning environment.
Faculty members are helpful, and campus life provides opportunities for social interaction and personal growth.

Dislikes

Placements and internship opportunities could be improved, especially for MBA students.

Placement Experience:

At RIT Roorkee, MBA students generally become eligible for placements in the final year. Companies may offer roles in marketing, finance, HR and sales placement opportunities and salary packages depend on the company and student's skills. The highest package, average package and placement percentage vary each year students should improve their communication skills, practical knowledge and internship experience to get better opportunities. After completing my MBA, I plan to join a good company and build my career in management.

I like the canteen very much. As me and my friends used to sit there and have fun.
Faculties were very supportive. They are very helpful.
I like the hostel common room as i have a very good memories

Dislikes

Sometimes i didn't like the mess food. but it was not that bad
Hostel restrictions , you cannot go out , you have to take the permission from multiple people
Class schedule is very busy. There are so many training

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be honest they focus more on pratical rather then theoritical. W went for many industrial visit, like cocola, iits, parleg and many other 1st half classes are for theoretical and 2nd half for training. I think they should make the schedule little lighter but yes they prepare us for the real world challanges that is for sure/

I have spent the best time of my life at RIT

I liked the classrooms very much, because classroom was having AC.
A bench in the ground , me and my friends used to sit there.
During my time college focused more on industrial and practical exposure

Dislikes

Some times i did not liked the mess food. It was okayish
The burden of classes. Classes start from 9am and end at 5PM

Curriculum is affiliated with UTU. They are most focused on practial and theoretical They is a lot of pressure that i personally don't like. They uses smart techniques for the teaching. They should give more break i guess, holidays are very less

i liked my campus life especially the academic activities in which we were participated , commercio fista was organised by mba students where we installed our own lil shops in the campus and earned
we went for the industrial visits like mother dairy delhi, SEBI noida, KPMG and our batch got so much industrial exposue in my time
Our classes was full air conditioned and for mba students we have sepration seminar hall also we have incubation cell for the new start ups

Dislikes

strict rules for attendance, it should be 75 percent or above

i have done my graduation in 2024, in my 3rd semester placement was started that time our tpo was rajvardhan sir , i called so many companied in the campus for the placement finastra was one of then, i have cleared 3 rounds of finastra 1st was apptitude, then technical round then PI with HR in delhi office in feb 2024 i have got my offer letter and then july i have joined finastra just after my final exams got over, RIT and expecially members of placement are very proactive about their work , after 1 year in 2025 i went again in rit for the alumni meet my experience in rit was very good

I came to RIT Roorkee from Bihar for my MBA and I want to write this review specifically for students from Bihar and UP

Likes

The campus environment is good and you get students from different places, so you get a chance to interact with people outside your home state.
Faculty support can be good, especially when you are regular with your studies and approach them when you need help.
For parents from Bihar, having accommodation within/around the campus can make the transition easier.

Dislikes

Hostel and college rules can feel strict for students who want a lot of freedom.
You will need to put in your own effort for coding, communication skills, internships and other career preparation. The college alone cannot guarantee a good career.
The environment is fairly structured, which can be helpful if you want to stay focused on your studies.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at Roorkee Institute of Technology are quite diverse, with a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that supports students through resume building, mock interviews, career guidance and recruitment drives. According to the institute’s current placement information, the 2026 batch has recorded placements across different sectors, with an average package of around ₹8 LPA and the highest package of ₹22 LPA. The institute also lists recruiters such as Cognizant, Finastra, Sopra Steria, KPMG, EY and Voltas.

Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Likes

It's a student run campus which means that important decisions regarding students are taken by the student bodies.
The campus is beautiful and lush. The architecture of buildings are well though of made to keep buildings cool during summers and hot during winters.
The campus is very happening. Several cultural events occur.

Dislikes

As the town Kashipur is not very developed, there is not much of metro-city life or such amenities
The boys to girls ratio for core program is 4:1 and the opposite for the analytics program which makes the class interactions disproportionate, It should be uniform.
You can't order food from online platforms here as the city is remote so one has to resort to the options present on campus which turns out to be pretty limited in number and quality.

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.

Great Learning Experience with Strong Industry Exposure.

I got in Ram lal Anand College of Delhi University but i personally feel that there are limited amount of resources in Govt. The reason for choosing this college is that it provides every facilities , specialisations and location of the college are excellent with an affordable price, all the money worths here. I have applied to UPES as well but after I saw it's fees I opted out myself, it was not because I couldn't afford it but the curriculum there was not good at all and their placements are not satisfactory considering the fees they are charging.
