Remarks

As per my all India rank I got this college in seat allotment. I got IIT Dhanbad and IIT BHU Also in my counseling rounds but I wasn't getting any desired branch so I decided to ho with IIT Patna. Through internet too I found out that IIT Panta was good among tier 2 IIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is still very old fashioned and is not expected to be updated any soon. The qualification of the faculty is very good there isn't any issue regarding that aspect. Academics is also taken very seriously at IIT Patna.

Internships Opportunities

Good internship opportunities also are mostly limited to computer science and electrical engineering students.

Placement Experience

People have to apply off campus. The college doesn't take any responsibility of such things. People have to acquire certain market skills that are in demand currently in order to get a decent job when they do not get any placement opportunity from the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structural is quite simple at IIT Patna. There is a tuition fees and a hostel/mess fees that mostly take up the major part of the fee structure. Apart from that there are small amount of other fees to be paid like medical fees etc. But they are near to negligible.

Campus Life

The technical aspect of the college is decent but lacks in sports and cultural activity aspects. The infrastructure is decent as of now but there is a lot of construction that is still under way. Classrooms are relatively poor. Library is okay but can be improved a lot. Sports equipments are also limited as of now.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are spacious and clean. There is no issue of sanitation and the staff is only decent here. The meal quality varies because it depends on whom the mess tender has been given to so basically it's the student body who decides whom to give the mess tender. Registration processes are also quite old fashioned.

The placement of this college is not good at all. The avrage package of this college is around 4-5 Lpa. Because this college is new so the placement is not good here. But Our college is trying their best for getting the good placement to student.

Campus placement was good as I came but it is degrading year to year, this year only 30 percent of ece students are placed, no more company of ece core came here ece and cse get same job as no of students increased in my batch 300 and ece 250 thus in 2027 placement will become worst , Upsc, gate, ssc these are end things

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the MBA course in Cimage centre of digital technology for its focus on practical skills like leadership and strategic thinking, which I wanted to develop. It prepares me well for real world jobs with case studies and projects. I suggest adding more detail tools and industry trends to the curriculum. Exam 2 semester per year, well spaced but challenging some questions are tricky. Overall it's a solid course.

IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category. In the India Today rankings 2024, it was ranked 9th in the category of colleges. Admission process was very smooth, firstly you apply / registration in B.Sc (CSDA) course.
