Overview of my college

I applied for Women's Christian College, Ethiraj and Stella Maris College. My first choice was Stella Maris College. Luckily, Stella Maris College called me first for the interview. No, I did not avail any quota for admission. The admission process was easy. You have to fill in the application form online with the appropriate photograph, documents and marksheets. The basic eligibility for UG courses is 10th,11th and 12th marks. The minimum percentage is 50%. During the interview they asked basic questions related to mathematics and verified the documents. The faculty was really helpful during admission process.

The mathematics degree program was quite complicated. But it's easy to cope up.I love mathematics. That's why I chose Stella Maris College. The faculty in my college are friendly and easy to mingle with. They are very focused and their teaching methods make us understand easily. The faculties put more effort into presenting videos based on the concepts during online classes. They also focus on each student and clear everyone's doubts accordingly. My fellow batchmates are friendly and supportive too. They are helpful in studies.

Several internship opportunities are available.The college selects the projects by students and gives it to different companies. And they can be applied online. Everything is available in the college website. I will be doing my internships in the next semester.

Students have visited the US, UK, Canada and China by the International Partnerships with the college. Liverpool Hope University and Trinity Western University collaborate with my college for long term courses in International MBA, Data Analytics in UK and Masters in Leadership in Canada which are offered in the college. My plan is to pursue IMBA in Stella Maris College.

The fees are comparatively low for aided than self-finance. I chose aided and the term fees for 1 semester was 11,000 approx, They have got exam fees to which should be paid before the commencement of examinations. They have got plenty of scholarships. OBC, SC, ST scholarships, and many scholarships for the highest mark in each department. They provide internship opportunities for final year students which will be put up online. And certain internships can get you a job on campus.

The most waited event was AQUILAE, it was an intercollegiate event. We have got a huge library with many course books, storybooks, journals, magazines and also a Dspace which contains syllabi, published articles, question papers and much more which can be accessed on our college website. There is a preserved place called 'Stella Archives' inside the library protecting the history of my college. There are 19 clubs, each to bring out the talent of the students. We have an official Instagram page that is handled by the current union members. And an Instagram page for the respective clubs too.
