IIT JEE, AIR 1950, best for Chemical Engineering as it is the centre for advanced study in chemical engineering.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college do provide the Internship for the various projects. Focusing on my branch viz. Chemical Engineering, students can get projects in petroleum energy, heat transfer mass transfer and fluid dynamics under amazing professors.

Placement Experience

We have well prepared training and placement cell that cares of all placement related activities. We had strength of 120 out of which nearly 90 students were placed in companies like BPCL, RIL, HUL, WIPRO, ZS Associates, Future Group etc. For other branches we had Facebook, Amazon, Adobe, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Flipkart and such other big companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Firstly during the joining time we have to submit the admission fee along with two semester fee. Per semester fee are around 50000 INR, Along with this we have to bear the hostel fee Rs. 70/semester which is near to nothing. Apart from these there are no other fee are charge we have to bear. So in the present context it is very much feasible fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is provisions for various scholarships like mean cum merit. Institute has the tie up with SBI perhaps for the loan facility but not sure of it. But you can very well get the education loan for the same from any Indian Bank.

Alumni/Alumna

The Institute organises the alumni meet time to time. Students here interact with them and gain the glimpse of corporate and business life. There is a platform also made by one of our alumni to connect with our alumni all over the world and discuss there experience.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is good. There are ample gaps between the two exams. Mostly labs are after the subjective exams get finished. Subjective papers are one in one day that leaves us very relax and good amount of time for the intra exam preparations. However labs are two in one day and are carried out in batch wise that keeps faculties very busy.

Admission

I went through a counselling process followed by admission procedures at Institute.Notification was released in June 2010 and I got the admission on july 28, 2010. Admin at this institute were great and very helpful. They helped the new joining students right from the arrival to whole admission process.

Faculty

The faculty of chemical engineering department or rather IIT BHU is absolutely great. We have a well qualified professors for each course particularly heat transfer, mass transfer and fluid mechanics. Also we have a India level professor for the equipment design subject.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good. Companies that hire for Electrical core: Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Bajaj etc. Software/Quant compaines open to Electrical: Squarepoint Capital, NK Securities, Google, Microsoft etc. The % of students getting placed are 85%. Average package is 29.33 lpa. I have got an internship in Nvidia Software.

HBTU review from a Ist year student.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is very good in this college. In my own CSE branch there is good placement package you can get. But in this year due to recession the placements is less in IT section but still placement is going on and top package has crossed 35LPA. During previous years top package was around 44LPA and average was 10-12 LPA . Also in other branches like Chemical engineering and mechanical engineering, the placement is at its best of 100% always.

I choose iit bhu because of iit tag string mining dept and most imp the campus life which felt better than other options i have . I have options of few iits like iit dhanbad and all but iit bhu stood out the most from all other iits in terms of everyaspect as it has strong placements records and aluminia base with lots of supported startups.
