Entrance Preview

Amity Entrance Exam. Being a post graduate in agriculture I had an objective to polish my skill set for which no other course suited me well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Both technical and management part of the course were well covered. Management faculty was seasoned as they were already aware of the procedure and had good hand holding on the subject. Technical faculty was also picked up from top colleges and institutes in India, which made tremendous difference. Being the first batch we faced our set of problem but, managed to get over them.

Internships Opportunities

Though I managed to get summer internship personally by reaching out the company on my own and giving an interview however, college did help other students in getting the internship. APEDA was the major recruiter for the summer internship and students had great experience.

Placement Experience

3

Placement was not very intensive and only 40 percent students got placed while others managed to get them self placed basis several job portals. Most of the students were offered package in range of 2 lakh per annum to 4.5 lakh per annum. Bharti retail, Devbhumi and few others came for interview to the college campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

No college did not offer any loan facility students who took education loans approached banking institutions.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ration was reasonable and attendance of female candidates was decent. During my two years I did not notice incidents of discrimination. College organised limited student parties while students themselves managed to organise several dorm parties within the allowed limits. Workshops related to several related subjects were organised by the college and students were allowed to actively participate in them.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of students is quite robust and is managed and maintained by the students only. Courtsey social media and current digital age everyone is managing to remain in contact.

Exam Structure

Exams were not too hectic but, lab sessions were hectic and sometimes not required. As students pursuing management course do not need laboratory exposure beyond a certain point. At several occasions lab classes were more intense then they should have been.

Admission

I filled in the form online on the college website and also reached out to the director for the particular course to ask him about the fine details. Following which I appeared for an entrance exam followed by group discussion and personal interview on the same day. After which result was announced and I was offered admission in the course.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty selected for our course was top notch and had good command over the subject. They were hand picked from top institutes and colleges in India and abroad. Both technical and management teachers were best in there fields and ensured overall development of the skill set of the students.
