Remarks

I had applied to multiple colleges, MMK College, HR college as well as Jai hind college. MMK College intrigued me the most because of the location as it's close to my residence also the faculty are very experienced and I knew people who went to MMK and got a good response from them. No quota was availed by me. The minimum percentage required was 75% on my list and I had secured the requirements via 12th. The admission process was very smooth and guided well by the faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

BMS is an excellent course and after going through the subjects, it piqued my interest and had me inclined towards it. It also provided finance as an elective which is one of my future plans. For every subject, we have a professor and since we are 60 in a class the ratio is 1:60. Faculty are well educated, trained and experienced in their respective field of study. One external and one internal exam was conducted every semester and we had 6 semesters in total.

Internships Opportunities

3

Motilal Oswal, Zoot, Future planners, Achievers club, Affinity. They have given the opportunity of the roles of interns and base job roles to all the students with Stipend and a fair package. Certain projects were offered by the college as well as the placement cell.

Placement Experience

3.5

After semester 2 we had started to receive internship and job placements on campus. Motilal Oswal, intern theory, future planners and zoot were some of them, they usually have 5 openings available each. The highest package was Rs 400000 per annum and the average Rs 250000 per annum. Approximately 10% of the students would get into these companies. I plan on studying further and enhance my CV along the way.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 19000 a year and it's accepted through cheques and demand drafts, although when it shifted to online lectures the fees remained the same. Toppers were provided scholarships upto Rs 1000 and in certain cases, financial assistance was provided. Apart from that campus jobs were offered with and without Stipend to us.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest for our college was lakshya in 2019 which used to happen in the month of January, for that we used to work the entire year and participate in multiple other competitions. Our second annual fest is Enthusia which happened in the year 2020. It was a new fest founded that year itself. Books and journals are always available in the library along with ebooks Classrooms are well maintained with good quality projectors, boards and air conditioners. We've had cricket, football and basketball team, also every individual was provided with the opportunity of participating in many intercollegiate sporting as well as cultural and literary competitions. Lastly, we had a finance and economics club named fineco for many fun activities

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the course alone can't prepare you for real world applications. It's important to learn some skills before getting into job market. The course is pretty theory based and doesn't have a practical approach. The only skill thing that college helps with is public speaking through presentations. The teaching methods are also very much traditional type. So it's better to learn some extra skills and get experience, that can help you get your ideal job.
