GSSSIETW Review

I was admitted to GSSSIETW through the K-CET ranking. I got a seat under Computer Science and engineering in the first round of college allotment, without waiting for further rounds of college allotment I proceeded with my admission process in GSSSIETW. I had also opted college hostel. The admission process is quite supportive.

Keeping in mind future opportunities I chose Computer Science and engineering. We have a good number of faculty in CSE who deliver the subjects allotted very effectively. A classroom strength will range from 50 to 60 students. We, 2017 batch students, were divided into two sections based on the total strength, making sure that they don't overshoot. Faculty effectively deliver contents and provide notes which makes it easier to prepare for examinations and excel with good grades.

We had to do our internship in the 6th sem as mentioned in the VTU curriculum. Our juniors(2018 batch students) are interned by DELL technologies through college. Learning new technologies in my internship helped me in campus recruitment.

GSSS is very good in placements. We have companies coming in for hiring right from the 6th sem. Even in the tough times of Covid-19, many companies had conducted virtual campus hiring in GSSS. The highest package offered so far was 19LPA by Amazon and the average package is 4.5 LPA. I have been placed in DXC technology for a package of 3.6LPA and Condé Nast technology lab for a package of 7LPA.

The fee structure is quite reasonable. My academic fee was 73,170/- and since I had opted hostel it was 66,000/-. So my fee came to 1,40,000/- per year. Students with a low economic background can avail themselves of a seat under SNQ which would have a reduction in the academic college fee mentioned earlier. Various scholarship opportunities are brought to the notice of students by the college.

GSSS has a nice campus. Very hygienic college campus and hostel. We have a library which has a good number of books that help students to read and enhance their knowledge. Cafeteria and stationery are present within the campus. Since GSSS is only for Women, the college campus and the hostel is very secure.

GSSS has a hostel within the college campus. GSSS hostel is indeed one of the hygienic hostels I have seen, in several years of hostel experience. We have a variety of vegetarian meals provided. Admissions to the hostel are done simultaneously with college admission.
