The MBA Review for SRMSOM

SRMSOM is among the leading B-schools in Tamilnadu and due to the same thing I decided to pursue my MBA from here. It has been placed at 84th position by The Week for MBA and has the affiliation of SRM Institute Of Technology, Chennai. SRMSOM is approved from UGC and has Grade''A' accreditation by NAAC also. For MBA admissions here the academic records, entrance score and PI round are the major factors.

The reason for opting for MBA at SRMSOM was the reason that I knew about the faculty of the Institute because I have completed my graduation from here only. The faculty team has experts for all different specialisations and they treat students very politely and try their best to provide students with the best of content. If any student has any sort of problem he can freely ask them about it .

Internships are really a important part for any management student because they offer the best of learning opportunities. The students get to explore numerous acpects regarding industrial work during them and they play a major role in their skill development. I am really thankful to our university for the kind of internship offers it provided to my MBA batch.

I think placements are the most important part for most of the students and the university has been recording decent records consecutively. Our 2020 MBA batch recorded nearly 75% placements with participation of 250+ core companiesHighest package bagged by our batch was INR 41.6 Lacs and the average package during the campus drive was INR 5 Lacs. The top recruiters of the placement drive were Infosys, Microsoft, Samsung and Accenture.

The fee structure at SRMSOM is quite affordable when compared to other institutes offering MBA program of the same kind. The total fee for MBA here is INR 7.10 lacs among which INR 7 Lacs are of the tuition fee. A good number of scholarships are offered by SRMSOM to the meritorious students and study loan benefit is also there for the needful students. The benefits can only be availed under some specific eligibility criterias.

The university has a campus life filled with different activities and events for all-round growth of its students. The famous events at SRMSOM are Tarana and Milan. Good volumes of books and journals across different fields are there in the library for knowledge growth of the students. The famous societies of the institute are Music club, Placements Committee and the Drama club .

SRMSOM offers pretty cool hostel life experience to its students. Both genders are provided with separated facilities. Both Ac or non-Ac rooms are there and attached bathroom and laundry facility can also be availed by the students. I availed a non-Ac room without attached bathroom. The hostel fee was as per the facilities availed. Different indoor and outdoor sports were also available there. The mess services of the institute are great as the quality of food was top class. The staff prepares the food in clean conditions and full care of hygiene is also taken.

The admissions to the MBA program here at SRMSOM are done as per the guidelines of the university and they are almost the same as other similar institutions. Firstly the academic records and entrance score are checked for shortlisting and then they called me for the interview round during which a judge panel is there and they examine the candidate through different ways of their choice. The final selections are as per the overall performance.
