Entrance Preview

CET, I got into this college through one of the staff members who also happed to be in my family. I scored 81 in CET but this college does not really requires a lot of marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

It's the ssame as sgbau, research is not the main focus, main focus is crunching out mediocre engineers. Course stated by SGBAU is quite sufficient but no efforts are made to fully explain (or understand) the full course, they are just teaching (and students are just learning) for passing marks.

Internships Opportunities

No, This college doesn't have any internship programs and companies don't even seek interns from colleges like these.

Placement Experience

0.5

Civil engineering course doesn't have any campus or placement offers, some other branches do have placement offers but those numbers are poor. Self employment or finding jobs by other means is necessary and this is the condition of all the colleges under SGBAU.

College Events

1.5

Technical fest is called "E-Dazzeled" contains all kinds of activities like, rubik cube solving, paper presentation, project showcase and a lot of other things. Culture fest lasts for a long week and it's really fun time. Their are no management fest but their are industrial visits ones in a while.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the scholarships available in other colleges are also available here. OBC, St, SC gets scholarships on caste basis . Some brilliant students get TSWF and they have to pay really small portion of fees.

Campus Life

4

Campus is really good and is kept clean by non teaching staff. WiFi is available but speed is questionable. Gender ratio in some branches is different from other branches . (for eg in class of 72 we only have 13 girls, which can get awkward for them, I guess).

Admission

Admission process was fairly simple, I'll and it's the same for every college under SGBAU. Staff is always eager to help because this college doesn't get a lot of admissions. The admission process is called CAP (centralised admission process) and that one form can decide where you can get admission in courses you want.

Faculty

2.5

Some teachers are really really good and others are totally nonsensical. Some are just boys, who get into teaching right after they complete BE. Some teachers do have the lack of connection with students but frankly the quality of students is not that good either.

Placement Experience:

For 5th semester students become eligible for internship (stipend based)...And from 7th semester for placements. TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, Tech Mahindra – for software roles Larsen & Toubro, Honeywell, Siemens, KPIT, Bosch, Persistent Systems – for core engineering roles (ENTC, Mechanical, IT) Other startups & IT product companies also visit for internships and full-time offers. Highest Package: Around ?24–28 LPA (mainly for CSE/IT students in product-based companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, TCS iON, etc.) Average Package: Around ?4.5–6 LPA for core and IT companies, and ?3.5–5 LPA for ENTC students. Each year, over 90% of CSE/IT/ENTC students get placed. Branch-specific placements may vary: CSE usually sees 95–98% placements, ENTC around 85–90%, and other branches slightly lower. I'm planning for higher degree (mtech)

I would rate the course curriculum high in terms of relevance and moderately high in terms of comprehensive. The topics covered are well aligned with current industry trends and technological advancements, especially in areas like 3d printing, data analysis. Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.
