Remarks

I visited college after a year gap. I first visited all departments of the college. Then decided to take admission there. I submitted a photocopy of all required documents. No original document needs to be submitted.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electronics and communication engineering because of my interest in electronics devices. College followed the RGPV syllabus which is the same for all affiliated colleges. The faculty-student ratio is 50:1 (on average for all departments). Professors are highly qualified. Some are Ph.D., some are Masters. The exam is taken from time to time in May and December month.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

I can say that for CS/IT there are more campus placement opportunities than other branches. Since many MNC are doing campus drives online nowadays. So off-campus placements are more than closed campus. Some companies also come to the close campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are now increased. When I took admission in the year 2017, the fees was 30000 per year which is the same now also for the Civil, mechanical, and Electronics, and communication branch. But for CS, fees are 60000 and for IT fees are 45000 per year. OBC, SC, and ST students can get post-metric scholarships.

Campus Life

In four years of Engineering, I have enjoyed two annual tech fest and 1 annual fest. Because of Covid this year, the tech fest was online so it was not like before. The college has a big library with easily books available, issue and submission of the book are easy. College is not good in the area of sports.

The absolute truth about SIRT

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students will be getting placement notification, there is an app called pod AI to monitor your placement companies and how much you applied, and your eligibility for company, if you are from electrical branch you will recieve polycab , EXL , a1 fence , solar square . There was about 10 companies visited but absolutely 0 opportunity in IT companies if you are from electrical branch. Average branch package is 2.4 lacks per annum About 50% of students got placed My plans after degree is to go for off campus opportunity

Placement Experience:

Campus Pl start from the 7th semester with good companies visiting for core branches popular recruiters are tafe eichers, CG power, Disa. Cognizant and Infosys for the IT roles also. The average package is up to the 6 LPA. After completing my degree I am planning To join a good company of the mechanical branch which helps me in building my career in the core engineering field.

The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed by the college is slightly old in comparision to iits and nits but it is better than most of the remaining colleges. But the curriculum could be improved.The curriculum is based on more theoretical approach and less practical approach for some branches.The teaching methodology is good . Teachers use smart boards if they need. The frequency of the exams and msts are good but they also include demo which makes it hectic.

OCT Bhopal is outstanding!!

Placement Experience:

Highesht package so far has been of 34 lakhs per annum and average though is 6 LPA. This average is considering all departments as for pur department it is of 10 LPA. Wipro, Amazon, Tisco and Mindtree are some companies out of lets say 50 odd which shows up every year. My plan is to do an MBA program and i am preparing for CAT too.

A balanced and Review : the good and the bad
