Remarks

College infrastructure was very good even faculty also they also give job opportunities to meritorious student of college as junior teacher.

Entrance Preview

It was based on 12th class merit basis during time year 2001. I was interested in civil engineering that was supposed to be boom in india and other country in next 10 to 20 years and was proved to be a true decision.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course structure as well academics and tutor was excellent. Learned alot and had done project on indian railways rain detecter project.as far as the research was concerned during my period research was not there it was included in final year project to do something innovative as a part of research work like software autocivil and auto contouring.

Internships Opportunities

No ,during the year 2001 to 2005 there was no internship facilty as such available for us to do.during my time no companies were came for recruitment.

Placement Experience

0.5

During my period year 2001 to 2005 there was no campus.well i dont know about present scenario but campuses started from year 2007 which i heard from localites in nasik.at present many companies visited to college and recruits the students with a minimum packages of 2.5lacs per year.

College Events

3

Tie day saree day, indian society technical education seminar etc every year there was function in each department of engineering and sports curriculum was also there.every there was participation from all branch of engineering. at present various non technical branches was also there in college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible as compared to other states.fee structure during 2001 to 2005 for free seat was Rs18000 per year as college education fees and hostel/mess fees was Rs12000 per year. For management quota students hostel/mess fees remains same but college fees was almost three times as compared to free seat student.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan availability was definately in college but i didn't availed it because fee was very less and can be paid in cash.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio more or less 80 percentile, parties not allowed in college premises but it can done in college canteen In college there was lots of diversity due to quota availability from different states like j&k mizoram etc. College wad always safe in all regards separate building for girls & boys hostel even mess also, after 7pm boys/girls cant cross the separation line for which guard was deputed for restrictions.politics had very less interference.economic status was good due to management quota and poor country student immigration for admission.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility wad good on double sharing basis Mess food was always compromising i had to go out for a lunch or dinner weekly.with half day off in a week on friday day so we had to go out for a dinner every friday sometimes gets bored with mess food.tongue always need a balanced diet which was not available at mess.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni was not held during that period but i had my friend in facebook who shares their experiences.overall experience with seniors was always good they helped their juniors and no ragging at all in college.

Exam Structure

Exams are very tough as in pune university lined in tune with IITs and NITs. LAbs facility was good every equipment was there to use in terms of soil testing, cement testing, aggregate testing, steel testing any strength of metal can be found out with the help equipment.

Admission

I was selected through merit seat basis in pune university first round on my 12th class physics chemistry maths percentage basis in the year 2001 when my father was posted in maharashtra state as a central govt employee.so i got the benefit of free or merit seat selected in first round of civil engineering and within one month i joined my college.

Faculty

4

Faculty was excellent and very strict in discipline and even homework was given like schools that was very good thing in sense of writing practice and helped during exam period if there was any confusion with the tough subject faculties are from pune mumbai and iitians who taught very well and had very good concept and thorough knowledge of their own expertise subject.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
