Remarks

The admission procedure is through the OJEE exam and otherwise based on JEE main marks after which counseling will be done according to the merit list. I got this college based on JEE main marks. My friend preferred this college. The food provided is not good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Everyone wants to study in a good college. In this college, most of all faculty is a Ph.D. Per 4 months we have semester exams mid -sem and end-sem. Just attend lectures and be attentive you will pass with more than good marks.

Internships Opportunities

I got into Infosys as a system engineer, in Wipro as a project engineer. All with 3.6 -4 LPA. The college also provides us with off-campus. The job notifications so that we can get better offers. My internship experience was fascinating.

Placement Experience

The college provides a 75% placement guarantee to its students. The internship offers will start from the 3rd year for CSE students. There are many companies visiting yearly but the average offer will be like 6-7 lakhs per annum. The highest package is 26 lakhs per annum in 2020.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at Nist is expensive as all other institutions. To maintain this large infrastructure and have Ph.D. faculties requires large capital. But there are many scholarships provided by college trustees staff and also by the government. The overall fee is 118000 for day scholars and 180000 for a hosteler.

Campus Life

There is 31 club at NIST. NIST counseling club, Renewable energy club, NIST social services club, Robotics club, music club, There are so many sports like volleyball and cricket as well as two libraries one for students and another one for management.

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Google, Wipro, HCL Tech and many such which has been around for a while in the tech business and has built tech for many overseas companies too are the ones which have already started coming. I am in my final year and around 40% students have already been recruited and I hope before this semester ends, i too get placements.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.
