I opted only for Chennai Institute of Technology because of the Centres of Excellence that admired me a lot. I didn't avail any quota for admission as I am not eligible for those and I joined through Management Quota in which there is no fee waiver for me and I must pay the entire fee. Coming to admission in Chennai Institute of Technology for the Computer Science and Engineering program is not that much easier. One should at least score above 80% in their Higher Secondary examinations so that he/she can join CIT through Government Quota. Those who are not eligible for the Government Quota then he/she must join the Computer Science and Engineering program in CIT through Management Quota and the student's age should be 17 and above will be eligible to join the program in CIT.

I have done some courses in C++ during my Grade 8 which paved me to choose the Computer Science field as my career. The faculties are friendly in nature and their teaching will be very good so that an average student can understand the subjects so clearly. More than 50 faculties are working in CIT for a particular department and there are more than 300 students in the Computer Science department. A maximum of the teachers completed their PhD in their domain and are highly experienced for more than 12 years. Some teachers even doing researches and publishing journals on our college campus. Teachers will encourage all the students to participate in all the events and extracurricular activities that are being held on our college campus and other colleges too. Exams conducted in our college will be completely based on testing our knowledge and it will be conducted for all the subjects after the teachers complete teaching a chapter.

NPRODAX, VARIABLE ENERGY CYCLOTRON CENTRE, ITI LIMITED, BSNL-DTTC, etc are the top companies in which CITians undergone internships for a period of 8 weeks/12 weeks based upon their interest and they have been offered a very good stipend of 50,000 at the maximum for each intern. The students can be assigned areas either with a need for improvement or a problem that needs to be resolved. The objective is to outline a solution for consideration by the company. The outcome will also include a project report to the company and the institution.

Students in CIT are getting placed in a good company with very good salary packages from the third year itself. CIT's top recruiters are HCL, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Zoho, Pega and more than 10000 students have been recruited by these companies. The average salary package of a CITian is 4 lakh per annum and the highest package is 24 lakh per annum. 95% percentage of students are getting placed every year. I wish to join my dream company Google after getting my degree.

Management Quota students must pay 2.35 lakh ( including hostel ) per annum. Government Quota students need to pay 1.25 lakh per annum ( including hostel ). Students who are willing to avail of a scholarship from CIT may take the scholarship test conducted during admission. CIT's grand Techno fest called Takshashila is conducted every year in the month of February. We have a very big library in our college and there are enormous books of both Indian and Foreign Author's are available. Students in CIT are extremely helpful and friendly in nature. Each and every classroom in CIT is digitalized and the classrooms are very comfortable for both Boys and Girls. Sports activities are highly encouraged in CIT as it is very much important and more events, webinars, guest lectures, Industrial visits are often conducted in CIT. We have NCC in our college and CIT is officially a part of TEDx now.

The rooms are very neat and tidy. Each room has separate cupboards, cots, study tables and chairs for each and every student. Good quality and tasty foods are provided to the students at the correct time. The menu will be circulated every week and non-veg will be provided twice a week. During the admission process, the student can opt for the hostel but the student must book a seat at the first year itself and in between, he/she may not able to get rooms as they will be filled already. Both A/C and non A/C rooms are available at CIT. I am an hosteller of CIT.
