My Experience in UECU

Due to Covid Pandemic, my parents refused to send me out of the town. So UECU remains my only best choice. I took admission through MPDTE Counseling. The overall admission process was tedious as we are supposed to go to the college even for small works or corrections. Also due to Covid, we resist going there, but we know have no choice. It would be better if they make some online arrangements for it.

I am much interested in technology and willing to take CSE but since I didn't score well in JEE, I end up taking ECE. I chose this because it too contains some sort of technicality in it. Faculty: student ratio is something 1:40. All the faculties are highly qualified. Many of them are from IITs and NITs. Most of them have a PHD Degree. Since due to Covid, we don't attempt any offline lectures, we can't say much about Faculties. Although they are very good in online mode. Most of them are friendly with students. We are having Mid-Sem in about every 1-1.5 months and End sem in about 3-4 months. It doesn't seem to be much difficult although some subjects exams are of preety high level.

There are average internship opportunities. Companies like TCS and BHEL provide internships but only a few students can be get selected. Most of the students seek off-campus internships. Many companies take CSE students for technical work like web development and app development.

We are eligible to be placed in the 7th Sem. Many companies come to campus some are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Lupin, etc. The HIghest package is 10 LPA and the Average package is 3.6 LPA. 40% of Students got placed this year. I will willing to startup hence putting my efforts into learning and improving daily.

Fess is very low compared to other institutes. Its fees are 24600 /- + 1000 after every sem as exam fees. Since it is Gov. College, it provides scholarships on a reservation basis. I am a general candidate, therefore, didn't get any scholarship or Assistance.

We are having UEC Samvad a program mainly for beginners which helps them to understand college and engineering. it held just after the admissions. CS department also conducts Technical fest i.e. XPECTION on yearly basis. they provide the student the chance to showcase his talent. Also, it focuses on coding contests. We have sufficient books in the library. Reservation plays there too, reserved students get more books than normal students can't issue. We didn't even saw the classroom yet, so can't tell much about it. Our campus provides one of the best opportunities in sports in the whole state. We have football, cricket, kho-kho, badminton, etc. There is a GeeksforGeeks student chapter, I am vice-chairman of it. It provides regular sessions and conducts events to improve students' skills. we also organize coding events regularly.
