Remarks

The minimum mark in 12th is 80% and there is no age limit for admission. Just enroll your name and select which branch u want to take. NIST college is one of the best colleges in Odisha. There are special seats for sc, st and obc.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like computer engineering. The faculty is very good. Their behavior towards students is very good. All of our faculties have M.Tech degrees. Their teaching style is very interesting and good. Every 6 months term exams. The exam is not so difficult to pass. Almost 90% of students pass.

Best companies come to this college and give more offers to the student's college also conduct internships and provide certificates which is useful in campus selection in the final year we get two projects minor project and major project

Placement Experience

In all semester students should get 8 CGPA and the fifth semester is the main for eligible for campus selection. Companies offer packages starting from 50000 to 2 lakh. Students must have 8 CGPA to get into placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are taken in 4 installments. Fees are 1.2 lakhs per year. All good company comes to this college. Almost 90% of students got jobs in campus selection. Those who got good marks in 12th get a scholarship.

Campus Life

All books are available in the library. There are 3 libraries in college. All classrooms are neat and clean. Annual sports like cricket, Football, Volleyball, hockey, etc. Extracurricular activities like rangoli making, drawing, poster making, etc.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42.
