Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty in this college are very highly qualified and mostly all the faculty has done Ph.D. I chose this course because in this course you can understand every concept and you can understand how to apply it in real life also. All the faculty of Zakir Hussain college of engineering and technology are very good and you can understand every concept and you also feel that friendly nature. The exam level is not very difficult and the level is JEE Mains. You can clear it with effort or simply by preparation of JEE Mains.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, there are some offers by the companies who come for placements for the final year students like TCS, Saint Goblain, Wipro, Tech Mahindra which have certain CPI criteria that you have to meet to and some of them also organize their tests and interviews to shortlist the candidates. There is another option that you can work on an ongoing project in your department by contacting any concerned professor if you are not interested in any industrial exposure. Finally, you can also apply to other companies through recommendations or by contacting the company of your choice for internship positions.
Placement Experience
If you are interested in knowing individuals' packages then it depends upon your strength and depth of your knowledge. Many people are getting selected at the lower package (like TCS) but some are getting higher package (Data Atom, Adobe, etc), It all depends on the companies that are recruiting and it varies every year. Some companies come every year while some often and many new companies also recruit(that never came before). So it will be very difficult to say something about it, but overall we can say that it is almost 4.2 lac. And if you don't want placements so you can also prepare for government exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
This one is very subjective and perhaps a bit weaker than the above two I mentioned. Mostly this is because of the remote location in Aligarh as well as a few inefficient alumni and placement networks. Whether it hurts a few folks or not but this is the ground reality. For your concern, I’ll just exclude all IT companies like CSC, TCS, WIPRO, Aon Hewitt, etc. as their gross CTC is almost the same ~3.5LPA and any engineering folk with decent communication and technical skill can get signed in, unfortunately, like most colleges, almost 70% of industrial placements are concentrated in these. Though the overall batch placement for electrical and electronics is almost always 100% (backlog issues in last,2nd last sem become issues for some folks which makes them ineligible). As I am from electrical, and it's a core branch For Core electrical : Highest core company CTC ~6LPA Lowest core company CTS ~3.5LPA Companies:- LnT Windmoller Seimens
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest is ZARF and due to the covid situation, it was canceled for the last two years, and generally, it organizes by students of the college in October and November. Our college has a library which has more than lakhs of books and AMU also has India's biggest library so there is no issue with books. 60 to 70 % classrooms are smart with projector and all and classes are air conditioner also so the infrastructure of classes is good. AMU has its own cricket ground, horse riding club, swimming pool, and much other ground so extra activities can easily any student can do here.
Hostel Facilities
Residential life in AMU is good. Every hostel has facilities like a common room, basketball court, badminton court, reading room, and other sports stuff. In spite of the fact that there is an acute shortage of power in Aligarh city but there is almost 24 hrs supply in hostels. Some hostels have their own gym also. Indoor games like ludo, pool, carrom are available in common rooms. There are different groups running at hostels which helps to enhance speaking skills, leadership skills, listening skills, etc in short they make a student dynamic. You will never feel bored with a bunch of students. AMU HOSTELS organize different events throughout the year like Annual hall function, sir Syed day and other hall fest's. Residents eagerly wait for these events as they not only get the opportunity to enjoy but also they are served with SPECIAL DINNER. With free Wi-Fi access in hostels.
