My Journey being an Engineering Student!

That was a working day, suppose it was the starting day of the week. All I had to do was 1) Had to first fill an application form under the supervision of college faculty. 2) Get all the required documents like SSLC, PUC progress cards, Proof of Identity, TC of PUC (Attested copies at least 2 sets) 3) After the submission we had to pay the fees in the accounts section and after which we would be given an acknowledgment using which we have to head to the next section where we deposit our photograph for college id making and will receive the lab uniform set. 4) I availed my seat in this college through Management Quota and hence no CET or COMEDK Scores were necessary I suppose there's no age limit but the minimum age must be 18 to join the course. If the scores are better, your chances of getting the seat and other privileges are high.

Our college offers 7 different branches like Computer Science, Information Science, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Telecommunication. This year our college has started to provide a full 4-year engineering course on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with the pride of being the first college to provide these courses as full-time engineering branches. I'm an Information Science Engineer which is said to be the best branch in DBIT and hence I chose it. Our dept has a sufficient number of lecturers to suffice the student strength. Every subject will be taught by an experienced faculty, most of them being Ph.D. holders. College also brings us some industry experts and elite professors to enlighten us on few important topics

College Provides Several Internship Programs to all the disciplines likely 1) To BE/B-Tech- Technical Internships and Workshops and Certification Courses from VTricks, Tech Trunks, Abstream, Seventh Sense, and Pentagon Space. 2) To MBA- Non-Technical Internships and Workshops and Certification Courses from Oyster Connect * Several other online opportunities will be notified through the class WhatsApp group using which we can earn while we learn.

Usually, placement activities in our college start from *3rd year* and we will initially be given internship opportunities and later will be provided with pre-placement offers. We will also be encouraged to do several certification courses to improve our resumes. Our college has associations with several Tech Companies and Startups namely VTricks, Tech Trunks, Abstream technologies, Destination, Seventh Sense. They all provide mentoring to the students from the industry experts and make the students ready to work in an IT environment. Few students choose to go for Post Graduation for which materials will be provided by the faculty on request. We can expect at least 40 companies to come on campus every year. The fees Structure is as follows 1) For CET student: VTU Cell Fees-56,000/- and College Fees for our college is 27,000-30,000/- 2) For ComedK student: ComedK Fees-2,08,000/- and Convenience Fees for our college ranging from 12,000-17,000/- 3) Management Quota Fees are totally at their discretion. My fees are 1,75,000/-. It differs from Branch to Branch. Students who belong to Non-Creamy Layer and prevail from OBC or EWS have the opportunity of getting scholarships like ePass, Post Metric Scholarship, and Vidyasiri Scholarship, and few other scholarship programs. You also have a community scholarship given by your own community for appreciating and supporting studies. Girls have special scholarship programs too.

Our college fest has been the heartthrob of Kumbalgodu residents. It's Called "Vismay" and it has a story in itself. Every year our college has two big events being the college fest and Kannada Rajyotsava in the name of *Kannadotsava* There are several clubs in the college namely Tech, Cultural, Discipline, Green, Organiser. Students will have a good time being a part of it. Leadership skills can be improved and confidence is built being a part of it. Our library has access to the rarest of rarest Scopus Journals and also a few other elite journals like Springer. College Library has a good amount of books in wide variety sections spreading in Academic, Novel, Journal, Reference, Story, Magazines and Newspapers. The campus is pretty good and green with a vast playground and a separate basketball ground. It has a very good cafe with mind-blowing appetizers. Labs and classrooms are well equipped with projectors. Sufficient parking is provided for both 2 and 4-wheelers
