Remarks

I applied for hiray Pillai JJ and also Rachna Raheja etc and I got admission here in the first listen to HIRAY college and hence I took admission here.no quota was availed for this college admission. admission criteria were minimum of 60 percent and NATA competitive exam and also donation admission is also given. admission age was around 17 years that is 12th complete. The admission process was offline and the first day was student teacher orientation program and then there as the workshop on model making for almost 2 hrs and it was super fun and they taught us about that like introduction to architecture

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue architecture and I wanted to become an architect and hence I pursued architecture and faculty-student ratio for designing subjects is 1 is to 10 that is 1 faculty handles 10 students and there 2 homegroup teachers and slos there is one internal faculty and one external faculty. teachers are BARCH AND MARCH and also they are working architecht who come to teach us.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

cost for the study is 1 lakh for 1st year 90,000 rs for sy and third year 90,000 rs and also there is the cost of stationery which you have to take and hence arch study becomes little too expensive and there is no as such known scholarship. but for caste, there can be musch scholarship for caste students and not for general caste. I don't know about financial assistance. Job from campus is not given and no stipend is provided.

annual fets are TARASH and PRERNA DIAVS are celebrated TARASH is well known for its cultural activity that is sports activity and also there is also singing dancing and fashion competition. and also prerana divas is for tour documentation that is year wise tour documentation like best documentation will get the prize.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.

Hiray College experience

i got my admission to this college through the cap allotment system. in the cap allotment i applied for other colleges like SEA (mumbai), L.S Raheja (mumbai), Kamla Raheja (mumbai) and a couple more i cant recall with Hiray college being like the 5th of my preferance. Im a non maharashtrian so most of the colleges have majority seats reserved for maharashtra domiciles and my percentile was 70% in 12th which could be the reason why i was alloted this college. In my home state (kerala) i applied to colleges through KEAM entrance exam and was alloted to SCMS School of Architecture (Ernakulam). I took my admission there as cap allontment results hadnt been published at that time. i transferred from SCMS in kochi to Hiray college in Mumbai with expectations for better exposure and opportunities. the admission process was rather easy in my college. we just had to go there submit a few documents like cap allotment result, aadhar card, 10th and 12th marksheet, domicile certificate, income certificate (for fee waivers or EWS category students) etc, fill their admission form and pay the fees. overall cutoff of this college is rather low as ik a few of my have gotten admission even with just 60% in their 12th. the exam accepted for this course is NATA and the cutoffs for this course is calculated considering both 12th percentile and NATA score....Read More
