Remarks
At first, I had applied to Jawahar Lal Nehru University Delhi (JNU), But I didn't attend the entrance exam because my family advised against it as the university's been involved in a lot of controversies lately. So, I came across this college in Dehradun called Tulas Institute and therefore I enquired about it on the contact number. I was connected to a counsellor and they enlightenment me that there are no criteria of minimum marks in the college and you need to have completed and passed your 12th grade and you're good. And so, I registered for the college (5000 INR). The college provided decent services in terms of counselling, they'd provide you with all the information and everything you need to know about the college and the course you're interested in, so that one can get an overview of the college and their respective Course that they're going to be enrolled in.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always liked to work on ambitious projects and objectives and goals. Also, I absolutely admire teamwork and a healthy communication no matter what I'm doing or where I am. So, I found that the management field could prove beneficial to me in terms of my career and future endeavours. The faculties keep on changing and the ones that are around they're also not very well informed or specialized in the subjects that they teach at least not of the level or of the calibre that you'd expect from an assistant professor in such a recognised college. the student ratio is 18:1. Only a single faculty of ours is a PHD and even she doesn't look or sound like it. They should hire more informed and knowledgeable faculties that focus more on the learning and understanding of the students instead of just completion of syllabus, they shouldn't just focus on recruiting faculties that take less salary because that reduces quality. The internal exams are all we've faced until now,2 sessionals & no externals
Internships Opportunities
Younity, Internshala and various other companies have partnered with our college in the past. The roles offered were entrepreneurship assistance, networking sessions, orientation sessions, etc. The projects were relevant in context to the respective Course or field of specialization, like management students got to learn and work as a staff supervisor and such projects.
Placement Experience
At the start of the final semester of their course, they become eligible for campus placements. Tata, Byjus, etc have visited and there has been a lot of good packages offers as well. 2 lakh to 11 lakhs is the average to the highest package offered. An estimated 70% of students get campus placements. I'm getting a corporate job in the HRM sector after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college absolutely absurd in this category, all they want you to do is pay them on time and it won't be a headache if it were small instalments but they'd threaten you to pay them the whole semester amount or there'll be a 100 rs fine involved every day. Also, the fees shown in the course fees structure was 65000 INR for BBA but it went up to 86000 INR, The college also charged examination fees even though there were no exams because of COVID SECOND WAVE. the uniform quality for which they charge 9000 INR is made of the most inferior quality possible.
Campus Life
The events are organised every now and then, the college does a good job in that aspect. Books and journals are available all the time and in the latest editions also there are English newspapers available every day. The college has certain clubs for every extracurricular activity and organizes events from time to time. The amenities would be the unavailability of projectors and ventilation. SARGAM is the music club in the college, STYLEXA is the fashion club.
