Remarks

The admission process is extremely easy. Admissions are done through a common entrance test regulated and administered by GGSIP University. Students applying should have subjects PCB with English . Minimum percentile required for applying is 55%. Sole purpose of my inclination towards this college because it is established and prestigious for physiotherapy while location of the college is just at the doorsteps of metro station which is cherry on top.

Course Curriculum Overview

I particularly chose the course as they provide clinical posting after every term end. Teachers are well qualified and highly experienced in their respective fields. Lectures are done through ppts followed by proper practical classes. There are two internal exams and an external which is conducted at the term end.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 95600 per year

Internships Opportunities

Placements are fairly good and mainly depends upon students' intellectual, theoretical, practical skills and their capabilities. College and faculties provide adequate guidance in finding a suitable hospital for job placements such as AIIMS, Safdarjang, Apollo, Max etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Class Size- 60. Course Fee- INR 95,600. Scholarship- are available on a Merit basis, EWS scholarships are also available. Internship- the internship is mandatory for the completion of the course but students themselves are responsible to find the perfect hospital, to prepare them for the future competitive world. However, no stipend is provided.

Campus Life

The campus is quite big. Its classrooms are fully air conditioned with projectors installed in them. It has fully functional laboratories and separate boys and girls hostel with free wifi facilities. the library provides all the necessary books requisite for the course. The canteen is not so big and have limited food items but is hygienic. The major event celebrated in the college is phuljhari fest which is organised around Diwali. Moreover, Conferences are also held.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum initially provides all the theoretical and practical knowledge side by side. As in first year classes are held in University college of medical science so practical we got demonstration of human anatomy on cadavers . And the subsequent 2nd, 3rd and 4th year classes are held in Amar Jyoti as the syllabus of these years provide you proper insights of your field Side by side in 3rd and 4th year we do clinical postings in different hospitals and in Amar Jyoti where we see real world applications i.e. hands on patients under the guidance of senior physiotherapist who are our professors also. First year is quite tough compare with other years as overall syllabus is just same as of MBBS . Areas of improvement - should be in syllabus I think as in first year we were somewhat clueless about our real role in PT as there were no PT specific subjects .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Syllabus or course curriculum includes everything you should know as a good physiotherapist. Faculty teach you theoretical aspect of every condition or procedures, after the completion of theoretical classes there are practical classes to strengthen and increase knowledge about that particular topic or technique or procedure. Also college includes clinical postings for 1 year. 6 month in 3rd year and next 6 month in 4th year of course in which they send you to different hospital opds and ipds to see different conditions and learn new techniques to treat patients effectively. So overall curricular activities prepare you in very good and effective manner to treat the patients of different conditions

Placement Experience:

Student's become eligible from 4th year only for the campus placements. It's not the companies or the hospitals that visits for placement it's the NGO's and all that comes and provide basic salaries to students. Highest packages can go upto - 1200000 per annum or average to 400000 per annum. 70-80% students get's placements and other starts there home visits or own clinic. My plans is to work for 2 year in any hospital in india and then move to dubai for future opportunities.
