Student Life at IMT Nagpur!

I applied to IMT Nagpur through CAT. The admission process was similar to what other B-Schools are also doing. But instead of group discussion, we were given a group activity where students were divided into groups on the spot and were given a task to come up with a new business model for a certain product. We were also given some charts and sketch pens to work with so that we can present our idea in a better way. This activity was constantly being watched by the specialists.

Even though our batch started the classes in an online mode, I have always found the faculties to be supportive. We are provided with adequate reading material via mails and later even books were mailed to us at our homes. They make sure that classes are not too crowded so that faculties can do an individual evaluation of everyone.

I was placed in a good company via the placement committee of my college. They make sure that the students get to work in the sector of their preference where they can get industry exposure and gather learnings for the final placement process and corporate life ahead.

Campus placement is provided by the institute. They start with the training programs and provide special assistance to every student in excelling in the area of their weakness. College also brings in companies for Summer Internship Process.

Fee Structure is good as compared to the facilities being provided to the student managers on campus and even in online mode. They have special scholarship programs for those who score par 90 percentile in CAT/XAT and also for the ones who excel in academics on campus. College also provides help in getting education loans during the admission process.

The campus is super green and is blessed with the amazing weather in Nagpur. Student committees, forums, clubs, ventures, etc. are what literally makes the campus alive. As the campus is student-driven, students get numerous opportunities to learn about management, communication, finances, etc. throughout the year. Management is super supportive of students taking new initiatives and conducting various events.

Accommodation for all the students is available within the campus vicinity. Washrooms are not attached with the rooms, but cleaning services are really good and they maintain good hygiene in rooms as well as in restrooms. Mess food is also healthy and food is served 4 times a day.

Just keep yourself up to date with what's happening around in the market and world. Also, have good background knowledge of the subjects you studied during graduation or the work you did with any firm (in case of internships or work experience).
