Remarks
The college is merely at 6-8 minutes walking distance from Kharghar Railway station. The campus of the college is good. The admission process is online. A few percent seats are reserved for management quota. It has a decent cafeteria. The main reason of choosing this college is its location. It has a medical college on one side and a Fashion and textile college on the other hand. You get to learn a lot during inter-college events. The students who are from remote areas and wish to study from a good college can easily take rooms in the locality and live and study safely there. Since it comes under Navi Mumbai, the locality has good quality of everything.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since it is an Engineering college, only Engineering courses are available. The Degree courses include Mechanical, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications and Electrical. And Diploma courses include Computer Science, Electrical. It has a Staff of 280 people. Almost above 50k students have studied in this college. It also has a masters course of Management Studies. The staff includes atleast 20 Ph.D Teachers and 160 M.E/ M.Tech teachers. The teaching method is good. Modern technology projectors are installed in all the classes. The laboratories are well maintained with proper instruments and machines. Exams were conducted as per the guidelines of Mumbai University. Internal exams and external exams had there own importance. The staff properly assessed the students before giving them marks. It was difficult to pass if you haven't prepared properly. But if the preparations are proper, then it will be very easy for the students to score marks and have a great report card.
Internships Opportunities
Yes I opted for an internship during my 3rd year during my course. It was a software company. The stipend was very less but it gave me a good work experience. It was a weekend internship for 3 months. I attended college during weekdays and went for the internship on Saturday and Sunday. I worked on 2 software projects under the guidance of a software engineer.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements after 6th semester i.e. after their 3rd year. There is a vast list of companies that have visited this college. Each year more companies are attracted towards the college. Ranging from national companies to MNCs. The highest package of 2020 was ?â_1100000. The average package ranges between 3 to 4 lacks per annum. The percentage of students that get placed varies every year. Average placement % is 20-30%.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is nominal as considering the courses provided. There was a normal hike in fees every year considering the inflations. All types of government provided scholarships are available in the college. Students can avail scholarships based on their Performance, Caste or annual family income. TFWS is also available. EBC quotas are also there. College placement cell has improved over the years and you may get a decent job if you get a good degree and crack the interview of the companies arriving in college.
Campus Life
Social life is pretty good in and surrounds of the college campus. The annual fest was a boon to the students. It is called as "RHYTHMS". RHYTHMS usually happens in January end. It is for 2 days. The college also hosts Annual Tech Fest. It is also of 2 days and holds much importance. It is labelled as "VECTORS". VECTORS happend mostly in mid - March. The sports event is a major attraction in the college. It is called as "KURUKSHETRA". And KURUKSHETRA happens in December during Christmas. It lasts for about 7-8 days. The Central Library has more than 37000 books. Classrooms have Screen Projectors and latest-age study techniques. The college has a Robocon team every year which competes on national level and has bagged 2nd position in first and second rounds overall. Its is improving every year. The mechanical Department holds a national level RC CAR racing competition. It also has a team which makes it's own Car called as ASHWAMEDH.
Admission
No. Most of the admission process is Online. Based on your previous progress cards and certificates. The admission process is based on your CET score and your 12th standard marks. Once you get a seat allotted online you can directly visit the college and get yourself enrolled in the college by paying the fees.
