Remarks

This college was founded in 1914 which has completed 106 years in 2020. College is situated in heart of city. Easy to commute, big and spacious campus. Admission is done through cap round allotment process which is conducted by MSBTE and is seamless, after allotment, we have to come to the college for freezing and admision process which is like a 1 or 2hr work. And it helds in May-June month every year. This is upmost the best Goverment polytechnic college in Maharashtra with highly skilled teaching staff and very supportive nature of faculties. Also they conduct every curricular and non curricular activities to boost students in their academics.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is as per decided my MSBTE. I chosed Mining and Mine surveying here as this college has well experienced teachers, they are retired managers and high post officials of mines teaches here. Also many guest lectures are conducted for specific topic by a expert lecturer from the field to get more clarity for students. We have 47 students in a class and student-teacher communication is better in this ratio, also teachers help us to get things cleared after the class if needed. They teach us with the notes they provide designed by their own and the field experts. Our course has yearly pattern which conducts exam at the session end in April-May. And practical exam are conducted in Feb and March month and 2 sessional exams are conducted after completing first half of the syllabus and in the end of syllabus.Passing is little tough since teachers are strict here and we need to be well prepared since this course is all about theories and theories. They expect us to be exact about every topic because it will help us in field work in future.

Internships Opportunities

5

Yes, we have in-curriculum internship training course in Mining department in which eligible students are sent for training in Coal and Metal mines in second and third year for vocational training purpose for 30 days which is co-conducted by college and Labour ministry

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become eligible in the 5th semester for semester pattern and in last year for yearly pattern for placements. Placements here are like okay because its a polytechnic course. But for Mechanical, electrical, mining, automobile and other core branch, companies come for placements. Highest package alloted here was 2.6L a few years back and avg. package is 1.8L here. Yearly around 25 to 30% students get selected since placements scenes are not much wider.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.

Really it is best college. Which gives us best curriculum during our academic year. The curriculum of college teaches me how to become a good lawyer. The arguing skills etc. There should be no suggestions from my side just to imrove the course curriculum as it is overall good. The timings and scheduled are fixed by college and university. Generally the exam is in two shifts 10:00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 5.00pm.
