College days Experience

I chose this college because it comes under VTU University and there were no good colleges affiliated to VTU when I joined, they did a counciling and admitted based on our preference of course. I joined on 2016 August and 2020 passed out. I didn't like the placement opportunities that they provide which is very less.

I chose Computer Science Engineering as I was interested in programming and it do have a lot of scope in IT industry and regarding the faculty most of them have Mtech and are from same college. The teaching was good and they used to interact with all the students and approachable. For exams they used to send notes and as UG students we have to read for ourselves to pass the exam and to excel.

Yes it was compulsory to do the internship where we need to search for the company and do the internship as per the domain college tells. It was rude to ask the company to provide the internship of our choice but it was compulsory to all the CSE and ISE students. but internship experience was good we get to know about the work culture in the IT industry and regarding the projects how they communicate, manage with one another

From 7th semester students will be eligible to attend the interviews and the placement opportunities. We needed to attend pool campus, drives which come to other colleges and we needed to attend there. The companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini were there through which only 2 or 3 students were selected. The highest package was only 3.5 LPA and for the developer profiles. Out of 130 students in only Computer Science branch of our batch, only 30 to 30 students were placed in the college. Many of the non placed students used to do course from the outside and try for the jobs.

Fees structure was based on Govt fees which they prescribed, and the scholarship was offered by the govt itself as Vidyasiri scholarship which is for students with less income and also based on caste. The college have also conducted there own entrance exam from which they select one student and fees will be free for that qualified student. Placement offers or the campus selection was very poor they didn't give many opportunities.

College was bit far from the place I lived I used to travel by bus the timings everything was flexible, there was women empowerment cell, gym and many other infrastructure was there. They used to conduct sports day, CIT Flair for the extra curricular activities and as a Ethnic day. IEEE club was also there. Overall experience was good. Classmates and faculty were friendly too.

Counciling was there to take up the branch but the test will be of CET which was conducted by government for the government seats and based on the ranking the college will be allotted also the branch, also college conducted there own exam to help the unprivileged through which the fees will be free if they qualify.
