Remarks

The admission process and was very simple. There were teachers for counseling. We met them and they informed us about the course, syllabus and different facilities in the college. After counseling, we filled the form and applied for further procedures. It was not tough as there were symbols marked everywhere to direct parents to the respective department. Finally, on the basis of seats vacant, we got the chance and our data was submitted online.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I always imagine myself reporting on the ground. This is why I opted for Mass communication. The teacher-student ratio was good and I believe no student can complain about that. Teachers are good and they always help us with various tasks related to our course. All the teachers are Ph.D. qualified. There are semester exams and before every semester, the college used to conduct two sessionals tests. These are important to understand our preparation. The semester is conducted in May and December. The quality of exam papers was average. It is not too difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

In our final year, we have to complete an internship. College provided us with details of companies. There is an interview session and if they find you suitable, they hire you for an internship. Few companies provide stipend too. I completed my internship recently with a well-known fashion designer. It was a great experience. I wanted to continue further but due to covid, it is not possible.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are held in the final semester. The college invites many companies for recruitment. The average package is 3.75 LPA and the highest is 23 LPA. It is difficult to tell the percentage of students placed but many students are placed in the placement drive. I plan to join a media organization after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

College charge fees before every semester. The rates are high and I believe every student checks the fee structure before taking admission to any college. I found the fees okay so I took admission. There are different scholarships in college on merit. Students who perform well in the exam are given the scholarship. The scholarship amount depends on marks. There is a loan facility. College banking facility is merged with Punjab National Bank so it is easier for students to get education loans at 7-8% (variable) interest rate. Every year colleges invite companies for placement. Due to covid, the college will start placement drives soon.

Campus Life

4

College held annual fest every year. It is not that great as compared to Delhi Universities and private universities. The library is awesome. You will love it. It has all the books and you will have comfortable seating, fully air-conditioned and staff is also good. Classrooms are air-conditioned and proper seating arrangements. There are facilities for almost all types of sports i.e indoor and outdoor. The college has its own gym. There are different societies i.e. dance societies, drama societies, fashion societies, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum influenced me the most and the syllabus system everything is that I am interested in . The curriculum prepares me by enhancing my knowledge in my field with proper guidance of faculty so that I can excel my skills in the real world. I think more focus should be on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge otherwise everything is best. Exams and tests were quite frequent,3 hours were given to complete each exam .Tests were taken thrice a month , sometimes twice and term exams were taken twice.

Our Institute also provide placement opportunities and students who are pursuing in sixth semester are eligible for placement. Recently, a company visited our Institute and selected many students for placement. But at that time I didn't remember the name of company and also no idea about the salary package. There are only 30 percent students were interested to getting placement. I prefer the journalism after getting my degree.
