Remarks

In my 1st choice. I have applied to ECE at NIST. Because. NIST college is one of the best engineering colleges in the southern part of Odisha. It offers internships, webinars, also high valued campus as a concern to placement. Ya, I availed myself general quota to pursue a b.tech carrier at NIST. The admission process to this college is very simple and lucid and easy. The minimum mark is for a student is scoring 70% or above in +2 science. Must be qualified in jee main having good rank, the minimum age is 18. By the way, NIST is a very good college in all factors as you are concerned.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I opted for ECE because it is recommended by my brothers..so that I can get jobs both in the private as well as the public sectors. Telecommunication course has very demand Nearly all college has 120 seats in ECE exactly half of the seats in CSE. Faculties are well and highly knowledgeable. And all are from a prestigious college. Also, they teach us very clearly, clarify our doubts, and interface with students very well. exams are very strict. And well proctored if it is done by online mode.

Internships Opportunities

5

About 70% of the students of our course got placed in companies like Sankalp Semiconductor, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Western Digital, etc., with the highest package of 18.75 LPA. About 60% of students got internships in various industries like HAL etc. Device fabrication and software-related roles were offered.

Placement Experience

5

From 5th sem students are also eligible for campus selection. many companies like GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, TCS, CAPGEMINI, WIPRO, LUMEN, and many more companies visit our college and offers a high package, above 90 % of students are well established in the most prestigious companies after completing b.tech career at NIST, after getting a degree I am sure that I must be well established in a well-known company. 80% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offered is 19 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies for ECE (both private and government) are DMRC, Siemens, Motorola, Intel, Texas Instruments, BHEL, ISRO, DRDO, Accenture, Wipro, HCL Technologies, NVidia, Samsung, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, Conexant, MTNL, AIR, BSNL, Indian Air force, Indian Navy, Railways, Bharat Electronics Ltd and Flextronics and Philips Electronics. 85% of students got internships from my course, and many students got internships from Pantech Solution.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees like very less, cost of the study is manageable. I never applied for college scholarships. Soon. But it is very good. And college also informs various scholarships both at the state level and national level. ya, it also gives a stipend.

Campus Life

5

Annual fests like NMS, many students organization, and some tech fest was done by NIST, it offers students to show their hidden talent. Nist college has a big library, their environment very calm and rape free, It contains various graded books. Also, this college has its own sports clubs like basketball, football, cricket, etc. As a social club. It has NIST COUNSELING SERVICE (NCS), REDCROSS, STUDENTS UNION ETC. The infrastructure is very good and well maintained. The campus has an eco-friendly environment. The campus has Wi-Fi that ranges from 50-150 Mbps. Labs are neat and clean. Classrooms are huge and air-conditioned. There is a digital library with all the necessary books. Hostel rooms are properly maintained with a 24*7 filtered drinking water supply. The food provided is very hygienic and delicious. Medical facilities are good. There is a team that conducts sports and games.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
